Unrevealed is a collection of four short - and I mean very short stories featuring detective Jane Perry. The longest of these little snippets is 34 pages long. Unlike a lot of reviewers out there, I enjoy reading short stories from time to time. Some authors are extraordinarily good at producing stories that are well developed and carry a punch, with an economy of words. I wouldn't say these stories fit into this category. These stories read more like police files. They have all the facts but th

This is a short story collection of Jane Perry stories. If you haven't checked out Jane Perry, go ahead and pick up one of the novels about her. She's smart, witty, funny, tough, dry, and foul-mouthed.. all the things I like in a female MC. She's also a cop, so she sees a lot of bad things. These are some of her stories.

At 80 and 96 pages, I read both the novelette and the collection of stories in one sitting. It was a great way to become immersed in the life of Jane Perry and make me hungry to read the series about her. Though Jane comes across as a tough as nails police detective, I believe that she has a softer side that allows her, through her "observations" to see more than other people. I probably saw this most in the short story - You Can't Judge a Book By It's Cover. This is a good adage for

****I was given a copy of this book for my honest review****
This book was a very quick read. What made it even quicker is the fact that you do not want to put the book down, you just want to continue reading it. Now, this is the very first book I have ever read by this author and about Jane Perry. The book was great, the twists and turns that came about was interesting.

This particular collection of stories reads almost like a journal or memoir as Jane Perry recounts some of her most interesting cases to date. The first leads you to a surprisingly personal reveal that connects with recent events that rocked out nation. The second, title wise is fabulous but story wise was astonishing. It really shines a light on my theory that you can’t literally be happy every second of every day without ever being upset …at least not without some MAJOR skeletons in the clo

I really enjoyed Unrevealed. I haven't read any of the full length novels featuring Jane Perry, but if these short stories are any indication, I know I will love them. This collection of short stories was very well written and gave me a good sense of Jane Perry as a person and as a detective. Unrevealed is a very quick read. It features 4 short stories. Each story has a "secret" that is revealed in the end. As I was reading this book, I felt like I was reading one of those 5 minute

I loved all four of the stories in Unrevealed. You wouldn't think there could possibly be much going on in such short reads, but you'd be very very wrong. The author keeps a steady flow of twists, and clues are popping up all over, but again I never did figure out who did what. It would be impossible to say which one of the four was my favorite, I was blown away with each one!
Both of these books were amazing, I loved every second of reading and didn't want to put them down. I love Jane More...

I never read anything by this author before so this was a great introduction to her writing as well as this series. Jane Perry is a wonderful and strong female character. I always enjoy "discovering" strong female characters. She says what's on her mind and she's a character that readers will be cheering for. This novella was a great way to learn more about this character before reading more in this series.

My Opinion:
I really enjoyed both of these books, based on the same main character Jane Perry. In Promissory Payback,Jane is on the case of a woman named Carolyn who has been scamming and misleading several people for her own gain. It’s up to Jane to find out who killed Carolyn and it seems that all the people that Jane meets could easily be a suspect. This is the first book in this series that I have read and I really enjoyed the way I could identify with Jane being a strong and outspok More...

Unrevealed is a compilation of four short stories. I’ll deal with each of these short stories individually, and sum up a little at the end.

Many detectives are “damaged” in some way, Jane Perry is not an exception. She’s an alcoholic. Her AA meeting is not the most likely place that you expect a case to come from, but that’s exactly where she gets her next case from. A missing person, a person who was in the World Trade Centre on September 11th in 2001.

A real tight, page turner that left my jaw dropping more than once. I love that we see Jane Perry's true compassion in these stories when she deals with victims. The last story was kind of disturbing but certainly had me guessing until the final page.

This was a good group of stories. Each reveals part of Jane's personality. While short each is well done. Although the second and fourth ones bothered me due to the content. I tend to shy from stories like these even though I like the crime thriller genre. There are just certain things that bother me.
With that said the stories were interesting and kept me reading to find out whodunit. My favorites was the third one. I just loved the twisted ending Jane unraveled.
