Would Valentine play Cupid?

When Zoë's baby arrived on February 14, it seemed only natural to call him Valentine! But as far as Zoë was concerned, Valentine had been the only romance in her brief marriage to Justin Gifford. And since Justin had harshly declared that he never wanted to see her again, she hadn't had the chance to tell him that he had a son. But

I was a bit torn between 3 and 4 stars...probably more of a 3 star read, but bumped up for the originality. The ill secret baby and heroine's reason for reconnecting were weel-done. The emotion was a bit surface (i mean, it was there to some degree but it could have been a lot more wrenching). Yes, heroine was immature but that critcism is silly...isnt that what a 35 year old man gets when he marries an innocent 20 year old? I think it's funny how so many people blame the heroine no matter what. ...more

Estranged young wife of 4 yrs seduces her lawyer husband in order to get pregnant with his child, hoping that having another child will further the chance of finding the right bone-marrow match for her toddler son's rare disease. When she informs him that they have a son & that he is very ill, hero bulldozes his way into their lives. Heroine is ok with that having realized some things for herself: she regrets running away from him instead of tackling their problems together & she is will ...more
This book is a very sweet Valentines day romance, which is perfect because It's almost Valentine's day. Zoe, the heroine, is 14 when she first meets Justin, the hero (he's 28). He very sweetly comforts her while she is grieving the death of her parents and she instantly develops hero worship and a teenage crush. On her 18th birthday she realizes she doesn't just have a crush she's in love with Justin and is devastated when he brings a girlfriend to her party. She tries to seduce him which doesn' ...more

There were many, many reasons NOT to like this book, but I found myself really liking it for one reason: THE HERO WASN'T A COMPLETE LOSER IDIOT! LOL Sorry, but it's so often the guy's fault and this time around the blame could and was spread around. Don't get me wrong, there were a few moments when he deserved the title, TSTL, but he rose to the occasion, owned up to his responsibilites, and didn't get all pissy like he could have with the heroine.

Of course, the heroine was young and our hero sh
This was such an intense emotional read, two people who love each other but still cause of lack of communication and age gap there is loads of misunderstandings leading to seperation, pain, anger, hurt but their child brings them back together

Joe and Justine two people who meet through Zoe's uncle, there is instant attraction from both the sides but Justin is reluctant cause he is 35 years of age and Zoe is merely 18 so he keeps his distance and Zoe tries to get his attention but seeing him with anot

Another book from the Treasury line. I have been enjoying reading older books recently, some of the more recent ones have been a little disappointing.

This book turned out to be so much more enjoyable than I expected. The title and blurb really don't do it justice. This is a 'secret baby' book, but that's not the entire focus of the book, which makes it very interesting.

I really enjoyed reading the hero and heroine's early relationship - how it built and how it, eventually, crumbled. Both the cha

I always enjoy a good book by Jacqueline Baird, but this is not one of my favorites. I just could not get past the lies, manipulation and immaturity of the heroine.

Recommends it for: Classic Harlequin fans
I restarted this review three times because I just wasn't sure how I felt about this book. It is an older harlequin Presents where you only get the female protagonist's voice and have to kind of guess what is going on in the guy's head. You see the world from her perspective and feel her hurt and antagonism toward the man she loves for whatever wrong he has done to her. As as always, there is miscommunication, hidden information, twists and turns that once explained, makes the heroine able to fo ...more

i really liked this book in spite of the initial immature behavior of the h but then she is young n easily manipulated by circumstances n th H doesn't help with his odd distant behavior...but the reunion was a cracker for me...i so like an h who sets out to seduce and does it with panache...of course her reasons r very different and i like the way that trope is handled too.. Pure frustration. That's what this book was. In my opinion the characters got married way to soon. I didn't feel like I knew either one of them and they didn't know each other well at all. No wonder she started believing gossip and then goes and believes the drunk ex-lover. Seriously?

She jumps to anger instead of just calmly asking questions. She runs away and then hides the baby. I get she was scared that he would take the baby away from her, since he was so angry but come on. The guy didn't e
H has had the hots for the h since forever, but brought his gf along to her 18th b'day party. Continued to sleep with said gf till 6 months (or 1 year) before marrying her (h was 20 by then). The gf/ow poured out some stuff to h during her 21st b'day party. She wasn't exactly malicious; she'd had a meltdown when it became clear to her that H wouldn't marry her, and was marrying h.

h grovels and explains away, while the H does not. how... macho of him.

Meh! I like this author just not crazy about this book. Justin acted more like a teenager which was odd since Zoe was a lot younger than him. Also hated the separation where they didn't see each other for years. Didn't buy their love
It was pretty good for such a short romance although I wanted to smack both the leads a few times for being stupid.
