Dangerous to Her was just an okay book with a secret baby and reunion romance but I never warmed up to any of it much. I guess the characters didn't gel with me and I felt disconnected when I read it.

Things just got wrapped up very conveniently and I didn't like the way the relationship developed. Dom and Mattie were involved briefly and in love, she couldn't handle his undercover job so he broke it off still loving her. She was pregnant and ended up marrying another cop. They meet again, when h

Virna DePaul writes romantic suspense with heat and that’s just the way I like it. Most romance suspense writers gets so tied up into the mystery suspense they forget about the romance but Virna keeps up with it all and writes one hot book that will have you holding on to your seat, all the long trying to figure out who’s doing it.

I enjoyed Alpha Dom, he is one tuff cop that will stop at nothing to get back what he lost years ago. Mattie while tuff she is skeptical about Dom and it takes her awh

3 1/2 Stars ~ This is Ms. DePaul's debut with Harlequin and it's filled with angst and some hair raising scenes. The first few chapters has several back flash scenes that interrupted the flow of the main story, and some of the hot chemistry seemed overstated. I enjoyed the story very much, and when I reached the last third of the book, I found I couldn't put it down until they achieved their HEA.

A more sensuous read compared to her Para Ops series - readers who like suspense and strong characters will enjoy this story - compare to Brenda Novak.

Mattie's has never forgotten her first love and when he shows up as a bailiff in the courtroom where she works, the sparks fly and she must remember why it didn't work between them years ago. Dom is working undercover as a bailiff in order to stop the leader of a crime organization who's threatening the lives of everyone who worked on his case - including Mattie. Now that he's found Mattie again, how can he prove, once and for all, that his work is not more important to him than she is? Especial ...more

It was a little tough to follow the plot for me. I kept losing track of which characters were under suspicion. Dom and Mattie were realistic, they both made some dumb decisions, but I found Mattie in particular but a little annoying. I felt that Dom was pretty understanding about her big secret. I did like what we saw of the minor character, Tony, and the exciting last scenes with Dom, Mattie and Tony fighting the bad guy worked well and made it worth the read

This was Ms. DePaul's debut with Harlequin and I enjoyed it very much. Some of her back flashes early in the book seemed to take over, but by the second part of the book the story really took off. I gave it 3 1/2 Stars over all.
