Asterix in Spain – A&O travel to raise a Roman siege against a small Spanish village on behalf of an Iberian chieftain’s son

Again, this was pure laughter from the beginning to the end. I guess that the fact that I always laugh at Spaniards helped a lot. When I saw them yelling "Olé" I died xD

The usual array of national/racial stereotypes, silly names, awful puns, and fights with Romans, delivered with the customary panaché.

This was an interesting Astérix adventure. My favourite character is still Obelix however !

Pepe son of Huevos Y Bacon, a Hispanic Chief was taken as hostage by Romans and to be kept in Totorum near Asterix Village. And he ended up under the protection of Asterix and Obelix.
Chief Vitalstatistix: Obelix, I'm handling this little terror over to you. And don't forget that as your guest, he's sacred.
Obelix: You mean, He's a holy terror?
:D

Hispania, indeterminate year. Asterix and Obelix help return a Spanish brat to his village. This village happens to be the Spanish equivalent of Asterix's home in Armorica.

There's plenty of Roman bashing, breath holding and odd goings on for our heroes along the way.

It should have occurred to me back at this time that if I was choosing to read a book about Spain for our free-choice reading in French class, maybe I was really meant to be in Spanish class. Oops.
