To: Mr. Cade

From: Zoe Kilgerran, your employee

I find this difficult to say and don't know where to start, so I'll take a deep breath and begin!

I'm afraid you've formed the worst possible impression of me and even branded me a heartless tramp with no morals.

Your opinion means so much to me. Can I ever convince you that you are so wrong? P

Really enjoyable, quick read. I haven't read one of these in a while. I liked James a lot, even when he wasn't very nice at all, and his reason for his apparent dislike of Zoe made more sense in this book than it did in the countless other books to use that same trope. There was loads of sexual tension, and it was covert too (as much as sexual tension can be). Zoe was not the typical heroine in that she not only doesn't want to experience love, but she also made a concerted decision to not have ...more

This is only the second book I've read by this author, but I'm starting to think she has a thing for public & outdoor sex. At one point he reaches inside her shirt to touch her breasts at a restaurant, and then later (much, much, much later; as I said, not much going on in this book) they have sex on wet grass in the rain, and squick, some older character sees th ...more

the book did not have anything special. cliche, james vehemently thought zoe was a very cheap little slut, bitch in heat he called her. at every turn, he believed the worst of her. he had many prejudices becoz cliche, he had been damaged by his mum, did not have any trust in women. i dunno at what point they fell in love. zoe was infact targeting a man supposedly engaged very soon 2 be married !? 2 his chairman's daughter !? the supposed daughter was no beauty. she was obese n plain n did not ha ...more

Diana Hamilton was born in a English town. Wanting to be a country child, her imagination came into play at an early age, transforming a neighbor’s tree into a forest, a hole in a stone wall into a gingerbread house, a gas puddle into a fairyland, complete with mountains, lakes and flower meadows. She loathed housework but made to do her share, to lessen the boredom, she told herself stories, in a ...more
