It's always exciting to find an anthology of picture books now and then. No matter how much we love to buy and borrow them, we feel like a magician to have and hold a fairly large storybook at bedtime--a book we can treasure and read from again and again, and a book that we can pass on to our children's children. This is a fabulous collection of some of the most beloved children's books. When this arrived in the mail my youngest was so excited about this book that we sat down the moment the package was open and started to read it. This is an ideal read for story time and bedtime. I love that this book comes with a CD, which is great for those families who are always on the go! This CD features all 8 stories included in the book.

Recommends it for:
any little people or little people at heart
Got this as a Christmas present for a certain very special little girl - it's a delightful book (a collection of 8 different picture books, plus some extra poems, too). I haven't heard the CD but even without it it's a great book!
LOVED IT! It was just a cute throwback book. My favorite story from the entire book was Tacky the Penguin! It sound so familiar but I can't recall ever owning it or reading it myself in the past.
