To understand Gibran and his works, you not only have to read his words but have to put your mind, heart and soul into them. It is like feeling this elation when you finally understand him and his words. The way he puts life into words is truly something inspirational and admirable. You can feel the pain of longing, emptiness and broken desires. And still infectious HOPE! One word that truly defines his works is BEAUTIFUL! TRULY!

The poetic beauty of Kahlil Gibran's writings always touch my heart and soul. The magnificent poetry and prose pieces within this book were written when he was scarcely twenty years old. He had a remarkable, mature grasp of man's destiny and the meaning of his existence. This is definitely a book I will read again and again.
