I liked this book, didn't love it, but would rate it closer to 4 stars than 3. This was really different from Altonya Washington's other books. I really adored the whole storyline regarding Therin's role in children's education. It was really refreshing, and unlike many other books I have read this year. Yes Therin was the standard rich and hot bachelor, but his character really had a lot of substance, and it made the book all the more interesting. I really liked Kianti's character as

Handsome Therin Rucker cannot hide his cynicism as he reads the program describing the pianist about to take the stage – provocative, powerful, pulsating. Well, he figures this is just good promoting, and he is willing to endure anything if it means raising funds for children’s education. But, as soon as the curtain rises, and Therin lays eyes on the pianist, Kianti Lawrence, he is captivated by both her exquisite talent and exquisite looks. Using his well-honed political skills, he maneuvers ...more

This was a quick read.

I REALLY wanted to like this book. The book description sounded really good and it had good reviews on Good Reads and Amazon, so I was excited to start reading it. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the character development in the book, which made it difficult for me to really latch on to this story. I wanted it to go more places, and for more things to happen, and I wanted to get lost in their love story. But that just didn't happen. The book is so short that there re

I really liked the story. Therin was the strong, rich, in-demand bachelor, but he was so cool. I loved his confidence and self control. Like Kianti too, although she had a ongoing illness she wasn't on a constant pity party and was very strong and self- assured. The chemistry was great Therin and Kianti, as well as her protectors, however the who conspiracy around the foundation wasn't that great. Keeping this in mind it wasn't excellent, however it was good and you won't be disappointed.

I always love Ms. Washington's books, however this one did not contain the usual story depth that she is known for. But this might be because I have been reading the Ramsey Series and it is a raging inferno of love, suspense and drama. Can't Look for that in Kiamni Romance.

Started slow, but picked up and the story line was intriguing. As an educator I understood the dynamics of the story. Kienta and Therin shared a passion for more than each other.
