Paul, Danny and Eve have been best friends and inseparable since grade school. When high school arrived, both men had fallen in love with Eve, but Danny stepped back in order for Paul to date Eve. Paul and Eve became exclusive high school sweethearts, until Eve left for college to pursue her art career in New York City. Paul was devastated by loosing his first love, but remained in their hometown to attend college on a football scholar...more
3.5 stars. Good kinky m/m romance that left me feeling conflicted. I really liked the evolution of Paul and Danny's friendship as it developed into something infinitely darker and more complex. However, I was frustrated by the story seeming to end in midstream. I see that Beyond Eden takes place a number of years later, and perhaps it addresses what happens after this story ends... but I don't want to read an mmf story. I want Paul and Danny to sort things out themselves!
Wow. Just Wow. I really don’t know what to say. This book surpassed my expectations. I’m not usually one to read MM romance books but I just had to read this one after I finished Beyond Eden. The emotional connection between Paul and Danny in Beyond Eden left me wanting more, so so much more. I can’t wait till the third book comes out. I’m hoping it will be as awesome as these two. In a nutshell this book was: emotional, intense, erotic, heartbreaking, gripping, totally unforgettable, the charac...more
This is the prequel to Beyond Eden which picks up shortly after Evie leaves for NYC. Paul, who's past we were given glimpses of in the first book, enough to give a tangible quality to much of his tendencies & personality, we're given much more insight into in this book. It's heartbreaking but then again without that he wouldn't have become the amazing person that he is. I wish we would've gotten to know how he entered "the game". We do get quite a bit of his competitive side in this one &...more
Kele Moon sets a bar high above the norm in this genre. This is the first book I’ve read by her, but it won’t be the last. Finding Eden can be read as a ‘stand alone’, which is how I read it, and how I suggest you read it if you want to avoid the female cooties that seem to be inherent in part 1, Beyond Eden. She starts with characters so real that there is a heightened sense of sexuality present even when the characters aren’t engaging in it. In fact, most of the BDSM scenes take place off the...more

Close childhood friends in Danny and Paul with outside issues and secrets all over the place + straight(?) masochist with zero limits (Paul) + bi asshole afraid of not only giving up control but taking control as well (Danny), totally clueless with how to deal with Paul = Inevitable Train Wreck.

Once I discovered Kele Moon had written a prequel to BEYOND EDEN, I had to find out how best friends, Danny and Paul came together to be in a Dom/sub relationship after the third MC, Eve, left to go to school in New York. I enjoyed the book very much, most likely because I had an emotional investment in Danny's and Paul's relationship from the first book. Without reading BEYOND EDEN first, I believe people will think FINDING EDEN is too short to establish the complex BDSM interaction between Dan...more
I think it's pretty obvious I'm a Danny girl so anything that features him is pretty much awesome in my eyes. When Kele Moon told me she was writing the prequel to Beyond Eden I was excited and a little worried, to be honest. While Beyond Eden was Paul's journey, she mentioned Finding Eden would be Danny's and knowing how she loves to torture her characters, I was instantly worried for my tall, dark & devilishly handsome Danny Carlow. Then I read the manuscript and had to remind myself to br...more
4.5 stars!
While this book was released after Beyond Eden, chronologically it takes place prior to it, and Finding Eden provides readers with insight as to how Danny and Paul wound up in the BDSM relationship that we found them in in Beyond Eden.
As much as I enjoyed Beyond Eden, I equally enjoyed Finding Eden. I loved seeing how these two men found themselves ensconced in their relationship of Master and slave, and I loved how even though it was within this type of relationship, they were still a...more

See I knew this was going to be one of my favorite BDSM series!
I thought I was going to ruin it by reading this one after I read Beyond Eden.
This book is what happens just after Eve leaves for New York. We get inside Paul's head and learn just how crappy of a life he had a home.
We also get inside Danny's head. Although he had a good relationship with his mom, his father was a jerk.
We were able to see the depth of how Danny had felt for Paul, and we learned about Paul's fetish.

Finding Eden is a prequel to Beyond Eden, a m/m/f book which I haven't read, and am still a little undecided as to whether I will read since m/m/f isn't really my thing. It tells of two best friends Danny and Paul whose best friend (and Paul's girlfriend), Eden, has gone away to College, leaving the guys feeling sad and lost without her. Both men have had pretty poor home lives. Danny's father is rich but is an verbally abusing alcoholic. Paul's family is much worse as his father and brothers de...more
This is the prequel to Beyond Eden and I think it did a fine job giving us a different perspective, letting us know what actually happened to Paul Guy and Danny Boy when Evie left them.
"Letting her go will be the worst mistake you ever make," Danny warned. "You'll never forgive yourself for it."
We never actually see anything from Evie in this book, it is purely Danny and Paul and it was great.
What struck me about the first book was all the sacrifices that Danny Boy made for the people in his li...more

Hm...it's good, I guess. The ideas Moon tackles are ambitious and rather well-portrayed. My problem with it as a story, though, is that the characters seemed too self-aware. I think Moon was trying for more of a novel-type story, but at the very heart of it, it is still romance, so that should have been taken into consideration. The omniscient narrator thing isn't all that obvious, so there seem to be obtrusive jumps to omniscience odd moments.

Kele Moon has surpassed her previous book in the Eden series. This story takes place while Eve is away in New York. Paul and Danny are best friends and both are damaged from abusive fathers. Each man has reacted and hidden his scars in different ways. Paul was always the overachiever, the obedient son. He fell easily into the submissive role in a dangerous game of BDSM with no limits or safe words and almost dies from it. Danny became the rebel. He fought going to college and getting a real job...more
Well that was a major disappointment for me, after Beyond Eden which had both been strongly disturbing to me but totally enthralling.
The first and major thing I absolutely hated is the ending, because it is not an ending but a major cliffhanger. And I hate that, as I have each time the feeling that the author takes the readers for stupid and wants to force them to buy the next one - if the book is compelling, the characters interesting, it will work without having to cut the book into 2 parts.

Review by Sabrina: Not for the faint of heart, the pain in this story is vivid and real, the emotions even more so. Haunting and poignant, Finding Eden presents a darker side of BDSM. You might gasp. You might cry. You might find yourself reading it again and again.
Review: Warning... there may be spoilers ahead.
I almost really liked this book. I love M/M and BDSM. Usually when you put the two together I find the outcome is spectacular. I think the main reason I had such a problem with this book...more

"Finding Eden" is the second book in the Eden series by Kele Moon but is actually the prequel to the first book, "Beyond Eden". This second book gives a deeper perspective on the evolution of the relationship between Paul and Danny. Eve, the girl they both love, isn't part of the book but she is mentioned here and there, highlighting the love and affection both men have for her.

I enjoyed this book. I think if you go into this book looking for a standard BDSM book, you will be disappointed. Paul had a physically abusive childhood and needed to being therapy instead of BDSM. He was used to the pain so he sought it out. Danny needed therapy too but he needed Paul more so he starts to play being his dom. And that is what it is, Danny knows nothing about BDSM, he was feeling around. If this was another type of BDSM book, we would know that Danny was being irresponsible but...more
Finding Eden is the prequel to Beyond Eden and I’m in awe where Kele Moon has taken both Paul and Danny. The journey is tumultuous at best but at some points it was soul baring raw. Via a fluent and alluring writing style there were no barriers between me and the story. Kele Moon poured this incredibly moving story of two flawed characters to paper that echoed long after I finished it.

Finding Eden is a prequel to Beyond Eden, which came out last year. In this book we discover how Paul and Danny’s relationship started, and just to what extent Paul goes to feel pain.
Paul and Danny have been friends for a long time and they both are in love with the same girl Eve. But Eve leaves to go off to college. (Beyond Eden starts with Eve coming home ten years later) Paul and Danny are left floundering in her absence. Paul and Danny both don’t have the greatest home life. Paul’s father is...more

Brilliant, fabulous, fantastic. Like watching two cars slam head-on into each other, in slow motion.
Paul and Danny have been best friends for ever. Paul gets off on being hurt. Danny gets off on controlling others. Neither has any ability whatsoever to stop themselves where the other is concerned.
There were two scenes of strong hurt-comfort, so be warned. I thought the first was bad, but the second I actually wanted to vomit for a second. Very vivid descriptions. Great secondary characters. Th...more

After reading Beyond Eden I couldn't wait to read about Paul and Danny's story. I will admit I like beyond Eden a little better but only because I enjoyed the story of the three of them together. But I still lived this one. To see how and why Paul and Danny's "relationship " started. And it wasn't for the reasons that you may think after seeing the love between them in beyond Eden. Their relationship never started as a romance for Paul. It was way beyond that. the emotions in this book were rea...more
I loved Beyond Eden. Loved it. Reading this book was a wonderful way to get to spend some more time with Paul and Danny and get a better idea of what happened between the time Eve left for New York and came back in Beyond Eden. I love these guys and missed them. I think knowing how things turn out and what they all become made reading this book really interesting. Getting to see the learning curve and the journey was great. I really hope that Kele Moon writes a third book in the series to cover...more

I read this as soon as I finished Beyond Eden and I did enjoy this one a lot more. Without Eve, there was only Paul to annoy me, and he didn't as much in this book. I still have to admit that Danny is the only reason I have continued with these books. I will admit that I am looking forward to the next one much more then I thought I would be.

Yay for this book finally being on Kindle! This is the second book in this series and is a prequel to the first book titled Beyond Eden (which was freakin' fabulous). I'm hoping this isn't where the series ends..........I believe Kele Moon has set this up for a third book. I'm crossing my fingers!

This was a good prequel to
. This is mm only, there are peripheral ff characters. This fleshes out the story in Beyond Eden - Danny and Paul's adolescence and the dysfunctional families that they have both survived and how they came together when Eve left for New York. The edge play that Paul Guy craves is written very well - not my cuppa tea - but still interesting and of course caters directly to Danny Boy's darkness.
All in all, a very good read, another home run for the author.

Loved this story. I think it went perfectly with Book 1 cause it gives you a bit of a different view & hindsight about how everything began in Book 1. I just wish it was a bit longer. Was so good that it went by before I knew it! Cannot get enough of Danny & Paul. I think they suit each other perfectly. And I haven't read many M/M stories but this was so good. And the sexual chemistry was incredibly hot haha I can't wait for the continue of this series. Amazing!
When Eve leaves for New York, she leaves behind two men desperately in love with her and Paul and Danny only have each other now to lean on.

My Lord, Kele Moon. You continue to blow me away with your writing! Danny and Paul have to be two of my favorite characters, ever. Hands down. And there had better be more to their story! I could read about these two endlessly.

A freckle-faced redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives on pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love, there are no rules and true love know...more

“We can do something else,” Paul offered casually, taking another long drink of Danny’s beer, enjoying the game in a way he probably shouldn’t. Seduction was always a challenge, and he had an unfair advantage with knowing Danny as well as he did. It almost felt like cheating. “You may not be a sadist, but you are absolutely a Dom. No question, being in control gets you off. I know it does.”

“Your ass belongs to me. I’ve suffered for it. I’ve loved you forever. I deserve it,” Danny went on, his voice a low mixture of anger and desire. “I don’t ever want you getting from another man what you can get from me. You hear me, Paul Guy, it’s mine.”
