The story itself isn't terrible, but the writing left a lot to be desired. It started out a bit rough, with the narration abruptly wavering back and forth between first and third person. After an awkwardly worded sequence of rapid thoughts running through the main character's mind, the writing smoothed out a bit and got better as the book continued. If it was a bit more polished this COULD have been a 4-star story, but it's a 2. Just glad it was a short read.

This short novel is as well-written and as energetic as the author's previous work, Gulliver Travels, but Brayden isn't nearly as likeable as Gulliver . . . in fact, Brayden is a horrifying sociopath. This is a rather unpleasant tale of confused revenge.
