Shelly Crane

This book isn't called Catalyst for nothing. This is the one that's going to change everything in the way the Collide series is going. I am so excited about this and can't wait for you to see what's coming for the bunker family. I will tell you that Sherry and Merrick will always be present, I've got this question alot. They were my inspiration for the story and though I will definately add other POV's, theirs will always be forefront. There are many people who have a story to tell in this book...more

Talk about action packed, the action was non-stop in this book. The bunker bandits could not catch a break, as soon as a battle ends another begins. The books starts off where Uprising left off, straight into a rescue to get Sherry back. Yes, Sherry is still a magnet for trouble which I've come to believe there is no avoiding. She wants to do whatever she can to protect her family but Merrick won't let her out of fear for her safety. Even though she's not bad ass chick I think she doesn't do too...more

Oh this book was great! The beginning starts off action packed and picks up directly where Uprising left off. You could feel the character's hurt, torture, and love throughout this book which made it more realistic which is hard to do with a dystopia or paranormal book. There were so many twists and turns throughout this book and characters I enjoyed and some I didn't...

As always my favorites were Sherry, Merrick, Jeff, Marissa, Ryan, Kate, Pa...more

Okay before I say anything else; the ending? Wonderful, horrible, heart wrenching, and I'm totally going to die waiting for book 4!
Was it good? Oh heck yeah. But that cliffhanger is evil I tell you.
The series just gets better and better! Catalyst was super intense but so so good! I always love spending time with the characters Mrs. Crane creates and this book was no exception.
If you haven't read this author you really need to. book 4? Please hurry!!
!Five stars all the way!!! :)

I wasn't expecting anything that happened in this book...

Once again I have read a great and awesome book by the lovely Shelly Crane. Catalyst was a very emotional book for me than the other books in the Collide series. This book deals a lot with getting into relationships, and also keeping them. I really loved all the new relationships, realizations, and growth in this book. The story overall has gotten to the beginning of the overall...more

I want to read this now! Can't wait!!

I finished this last night and am still in just complete shock over the ending!! I went into this book thinking that this was the last book in the series but judging by the way this book ended there has got to be more...and that thrills me!! Shelly Crane is one of my favorite authors and I have read all of her books but I have to say that the Collide series is my favorite!

Ready for my review of the third book in Shelly Crane's series Collide? I just finished it and you know, I really hate the words....."This is the end for now." LOL

The battle raged on in book three and so many close calls....betrayal in the midst of the ranks, fighting the lighters, finding the new folks who are loner bands of rebels.....and loving. The ever growing band of rebels, work hard, fight hard, and love hard. But if I divulge much I will spoil the plot and the story, so I will divulge o...more

Well, if you're on the 3rd book, you gotta know you're sucked right in, so are the reviews even relevant anymore? I mean, could you really not read the rest? Might go down to 4.5 stars, but can't decide once I get this far in a series unless there is something really bad. At least the cliffhanger wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Love the characters, love the world....looking forward to more.

First let me start with the one thing I semi-did not like about the book. I am not too crazy about the shifting point of views. While I like getting inside other characters heads and I like seeing events from someone other than Sherry...more

The love between Merrick and Sherry it's stronger and sweet.Merrick is a little insecure but Sherry is there to remind him that she loves him with all her heart he is her man her soul mate and her husband.

The action and trouble for Sherry keep on coming! I'm very glad to say that Catalyst was even better, I liked a lot that this book had many points of view from different characters. It was really great to be able to see things from one point to another and know much more, especially considering that Collide started with only Merrick and Sherry. The novels slowly started to incorporate the supporting characters even more and more until they all got their own spotlight.

This is probably my favorite in the series, so far. There was drama, betrayal, and unexplainable changes.

It was great to see Sherry show different emotions. She even got angry, which is something we haven't seen her do. There are more battles, and relationships of those in the bunker change. I liked that there were more battles, and they weren't all Sherry centered. I swear that woman is a magnet for trouble. I have to say, I absolutely adore Lily. She's intelligent and beyond perceptive for he...more

Going into this book I thought this was the last in the series but I was proved wrong by the cliffhanger at the end.

At the end of the second book,Sherry has been taken to an enforcement facility by the Lighters for interrogation and it is a huge risk to go rescue her,yet again!! They really are in the dark as to what is happening to Sherry. Marissa is starting to act weird, Lily suddenly has an amazing gift that really is borderline dangerous and Merrick is going insane with worry for Sherry.

Catalyst is the third installment in the Collide series by Shelly Crane. Going into this book I thought this was the last in the series but I was utterly proved wrong by the bit of a cliffhanger at the end. Oh Shelly Crane, what are you doing to me?!?!

At the end of the second book, Sherry has been taken captive by the Lighters for interrogation. Now her “family” must try to save her (yet again.) By doing so they will be introducing new characters into their lives, some good, some not so good.

"True love should not have to lie, cheat or steal. The best kind of love finds you when you need it most. This is what my books are about...."-Shelly Crane

If the above statement doesn't tempt your heart then you really need a heavy dose of Shelly's stories. Of all the books I've read, some of my favorite couples were created by the Author Shelly Crane. In the Collide series that couple is Sherry and Merrick, oh sweet Merrick.(I just love his name).

Shelly Shelly Shelly....... You have done it again! There are no words that can describe what I felt when I was reading Catalyst. Man oh Man did I have so many emotions and scream fests at the book that I wanted to throw it because some people just don't get it.

Sherry has been taken captive by the Lighters and now the group must go in search of her to bring her back to their ‘family’. But will they be able to get to her in time or will the torture prove to be too much for Sherry? Can Merrick manage to keep it together long enough to save the woman he loves? And how does Daniel, the Lighter that helped them in the past, play a role in all of it?

NO! It seriously didn't just end like that! AHHHHH!!!!!

This book was the best out of the three so far in this series. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time with everything that happened with these people. Seriously, Shelly, where you do come up with this stuff? I couldn't even take a breath so much was going on and happening. Your characters had it right when they kept asking how much more could they take, I wasn't sure I could take anymore either, lol. I'm seriously dying for the next boo...more

While I was still enjoying the series, I was getting a bit tired of the constant, "I love you, I love you" between Merrick and Sherry. I got that all in books 1 and 2. Now I just wanted to see what was going to happen. I found myself skipping over some of the parts because they just kept saying the same things.

The storyline itself is still keeping me seriously interested. I have enjoyed all three books and have read them one right after the other. Now I'm on to book 4.

Aw man, well this one was definitely better than the first two! The editing was a little better, I wasn't nearly as distracted by the errors. I don't really have much to say. I really liked this one and want to pull my hair out now that I know I have to wait for a fourth (and hopefully final) book! So many new things were introduced in this one, near the end too... I just hope I can finish this series soon, I need answers! I need closure! Ok, I know I'm ranting.

Wow - that was intense! I love this little band of rebels, including all the newcomers they continue to add. They go through so much pain and so much loss but remain strong through it all. Sherry & Merrick do such a wonderful job of holding their little family together. Sometimes their love is the only thing that gets them through it all; it is such a strong, powerful, consuming love that it makes my heart ache for them when they are apart. Others are beginning to find love in the middle of...more

Yet another suspense filled book. Sherry and Merrick are my favs in this series, but Cain and Lillians story become a very close second place. The lighter Daniel coming into the story was surprising, in a way I enjoyed reading.

Overall this 3rd book was a great page turner for me, having me just craving for the next book after thad conclusion.

Catalyst is book # 3 in the Collide series and it most certainly was thrilling. I absolutely love the characters in this series and how they come together from all walks of life joining forces and become a family of strangers basically trying to stay safe and not conform. The book is about the life of these rebels and horrific things they must endure as well as unexpected love that develops. This book had me frantically reading the pages when encountering the parts that seemed like a war zone an...more

I am really enjoying these books. I know editing isn't great in most of these self published books...but good lord this one is atrocious!!!! There was a spelling/grammatical mistake on almost every page. Sometimes a letter would just be left off a word. Fortunately, I only rate the story, not the poor editing/grammar.

Definitely better than the second one! I had to take a break from this series for awhile but I'm glad I came back to continue on in it. I love the characters but Sherry and her selflessness (and the other characters raving about it) was wearing on me. Glad it was toned down in this installment. I'm looking forward to the next one!
Clarisse Martinez
This book was just amazing! It gave so much and took a little away too. Without having to post a spoil I will say only that this book definitely is a cliffhanger! A glorious cliffhanger. My recommendation is start from book one do not skip because you'll miss all the good parts. And once your done with this book you will join all of us who are anxiously awaiting the next one :) I keep saying it and I will never get tired of saying "Shelly Crane is an amazing writer! "
