Pally’s book is a helpful review of Evangelical Christians who are working toward helping Christians become more familiar with Jesus the enemy of empire, the lover of peace and generosity, and the healer and advocate for the poor and marginalized. Perhaps for me, who shares much in common with so-called New Evangelicals, the book itself seemed redundant.
