This debut novel reads like a screenplay, and I could totally see it as a Hollywood blockbuster with someone really hunky playing Agent Nick Santiago. Rawr!

There's action from the first page as Dee bumps into - almost literally - a hitman who used to work for her Mob boss husband. I always wonder when I read stories where the plot involves organized crime how much really reflects "real life" with those that are involved with organized crime. I am not naive enough to think that the stories of crime families and "the mob" are not real; I live in Las Vegas and I know that organized crime and its families are very real and out there. 4.5 stars for this debut novel! What a great, emotional read that depicts Dee Dee's life on the lamb and the lengths to which she and Special Agent Santiago must go to protect her against the forces that would continue to threaten her and her family. Full review to come.
