Nora is determined to save Mitchell Allen and his team from a trap, and to do that she has to translate the symbols on the door. M. Pax’s writing is always so vivid and Translations is more vivid yet. It had a poetic quality to it.

Another short story. Too much romance not enough action. Didn't care for the main character. So, um, meh. But don't take it from me. Many reviewers have given it high praise.

Lovely prose in this short story. Oh how tempting it is to be swept away in such words as did Nora.

I didn't really follow up. The main story line is describing the short story plot but without going into an introduction about the characters Nora and Mitchell. I am faced with an action plot which is difficult to follow and ends abruptly without being able to understand the context fully. I would wish for more background details at the beginning and end but was left without.

The writting was very tastful and I could feel Ms. Elliott's love for Mitchell. I am unsure of the plot, well; other than helping Mitchell and finally getting him to love her-

M. Pax is author of the sci-fi series, The Backworlds, and the new adult urban fantasy Hetty Locklear series. A Browncoat and SG fan, she's also slightly obsessed with Jane Austen. In the summers she docents as a star guide at Pine Mountain Observatory where the other astronomers now believe she has the most extensive collection of moon photos in existence. No fear, there will be more next summer. ...more
