I know. I said I wouldn't read it again. But it was in the library, so I sat down and in an hour I'd finished a light, fluffy teen book. It's not great, to be honest. Her previous series are by far better--I loved & devoured those!--but this is okay. And if it gets other teens reading, that's a good thing.
This book is awesome! I used to think that nancy drew was the best series but this book changed my mind. I'm glad I read it. It holds a lesson that beauty is from the inside not the outside... The best part was when Keira got busted for stealing Jess's catwalk dress and when she got accepted for the final round. Cathy Hopkins is a great writer, I'm looking forward to reading other Cathy Hopins Books...
I did enjoy this as a light read (as I know I am older than the target audience) but I felt the "love yourself as you are" message was drummed home a little too hard. However I liked the storyline with her old friend (whose name I can't remember) constantly trying to undermine her because I think most people have known someone who is like that!
