Shelves: fantasy, j-fiction
This fantasy begins, like many great fantasies, with an orphan in a big old house. Wicked Aunt Formaldy and her passion for antiques adds a sinister touch, and the appearance of the ramshackle circus and the cigarette smoking ring master seems to set Anna up for a real adventure. Recommends it for: 8-12 year olds
I was 10 years old when this book fell off the shelf at my schools library. I'm totally horse crazy, love anything that has to do it horses so I read it. Although I wasn't really able to discuss how the characters where developed...
Sense then 4 year past and I haven't read the book again (don't have the book), but as I remember I loved it really much.
I'd recommend it to anyone around the age of 8-12.

I think more of a tween read. This is a story you might make up for your sister or daughter at night as they are falling asleep. Cute, predictable, and easy.

I really enjoyed this book: it has a very appealing main character, a villain it is a joy to hate, and an original magical theme involving flying horses and disappearances. This book is a winner.
