Mostly a picture book of people all over the world with their dogs, it's also a love poem, of sorts, for dogs and their humans. Art Wolfe, the award-winning photographer, turns his camera on dogs rather than wildlife to an extraordinary means.

The photos tell a story of dogs and people, and how much of a part of the human life the dog takes up. From childhood playmate to protector of the herd, dogs accomplish so much for their people.

A very nice combination of photos of dogs and humans by Art Wolfe with text by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson. Photos are taken all over the world, though there are certainly more from the U.S. than anywhere else, and many from Asian locales, especially Bhutan. Nothing life changing here but a lovely book to spend a little while with!
