look who's back!

this book was fun like the first one, although i tend to disapprove of sequels to books like these. i just bet that if you put your mind to it, you can come up with something else funny that you can extend into a short humorous book perfect for gift-giving. don't just trade in on the same joke again. impress me with your diversity! now!

having said that, there are still some cute drawings in here, and some good variations on the theme.

i like the manic expression on that worm, for...more

Hilarious.

This is a strange little collection of very philosophical cartoons. Some of them are single panel cartoons, spread over two small pages, but others go on for several panels and pages, telling more elaborate tales of isolation and sadness.
Somehow, this is not quite depressing. There is hope in some of the stories, and humor in the reasons for the sadness and isolation in others. From a bored angel whose friends are all still alive to the cover dinosaur, all of whose friends are still dead, death...more

Just as hysterical as the first one! I just stood there and read it in the bookstore (which I know you really aren't supposed to do) but its basically one sentence on each page with a picture. And it is quite funny.

*Note: not for kids.

After All my friends are dead, this is just... more of the same. Hard to believe that they felt the need to write a "sequel". But wait - both books are really short, so why not just combine them?

What I don't get is how this got published in the first place. Don't worry: I read these at a bookstore (and saved some money).

I don't know whether I should be happy that almost anything can be published (in case I want to write a book later) or whether I should be sad that books like this get rated so h...more

I read the first one and loved it. This was just as good. My favorite parts included an angel who liked to watch people in the shower,

a worm,

and a robot that reminded me of Neptr from Adventure Time. Poor thing just wanted to make friends.

Also read this one today at the bookstore, and it was also great (just like the first one). Probably a 4.5 rating, as it was just short of the magnificent humor of its predecessor. Favorite parts? The bacon, and the worm.

Rating: PG, 'cause like the first one it's not exactly a children's book (I don't think they'd get it).

Short and funny. Short enough that I read it while in line at TJMaxx. They had it with the kids' books because it looks like one. But, I'll echo the other reviewers, THIS IS NOT FOR KIDS. There's a part with a horse that I think would have many kids in tears after they asked you what it meant. lol

3.5

I didn't find this nearly as funny as the first (overall), but I did find certain parts laugh out loud humorous. Like its predecessor, it's a 3 minute read you can tackle while waiting for someone at a bookstore. The utter absurdity and creativity of the writers earned the rounding up.

Yep, they're still dead! It's amazing that you can take a pretty silly conversation, add some pictures to a tiny book, and make millions. This one is not as good as the first, but will entertain that annoying guest for enough time for you to down another glass of wine.

Read this book in the SF airport book store. I think I liked the first volume a little more, but it still made me smile.

My favorite section included BFFs toothbrush and toothpaste and their ambivalent relationship with floss. My dentist can attest that I can relate to this.

All my friends are dead. by Avery Monsen and Jory John plus the other book: All my friends are still dead. - Way too funny for words. Fantastic. Somewhat over student's heads at times and the second book had a few more 4/5th grade humor but loved these books!!

Matt thought these were the best books ever after we read them in a bookstore today. Some pages were funnier than others, but overall pretty good! My favorite was the tree who said his friends are end tables; and the baker who said all his friends were bread HAHA.
Jen
Still quite amazing and keeps the same bite. As with the last one, you probably shouldn't have your 3-year old take this book to Sharing Time.

It is a perfect addition to the first one. The material is still fresh, even if the cover isn't.

When I have children, I will read to them from this book. I've already pre-planned it. That is how adorable and fun this book is.

Even if it's a gag gift, get it. It's absolutely lovely and the cutest book - for children and adults alike.

I read this in the store, and it was hilarious! It makes me want to ask for it for my birthday. $10 for the little book was more than what I could make myself spend when my money was earmarked for another book.

This little book made me smile and chuckle. The illustrations are good! It reminded me that my life could be so much worse! I won this book through the goodreads First Reads giveaway! Thank you!

Sequel to All My Friends Are Dead, All My Friends Are Still Dead did not leave me disappointed. Witty, charming, with non sequitur humor, this ranks up there with one of my favorites for the year.

More of the same, only now it's less original. Still funny, still fleeting. If you're gonna buy one, might as well buy both. (I borrowed both at once.)

I hope there will be more and more of these, there certainly is the potential. Little robot, I feel your pain. Fridge, you are mean and horrible.
Gabby
This book is really funny, just as good as the first one. It is the perfect book to read when you are in a bad mood and need a quick pick me up.

It takes you barely a minute to finish these books. And that's not even the best part! THEY'RE HILARIOUS :D And not to mention CUTE!

not quite as good as the first book "all my friends are dead", but still very funny. i 00100101101101010000101ed the robot. :)

The second book in this series, and once again fun. I loved how some things went together to make one conversation. :)

I am hoping for more books. :)

Short & funny but just not the same impact as reading the first book. Still, quite a few chuckles!

Just as good as the first one, although the surprise of the first is gone (which is why its a 4.5 rather than 5).

Read All my friends are dead first.

I just adore this hilarious little book. I find the robot pages oddly moving (I'll be your friend, little guy!)

Snarkier than the original.
