These are poems for people who don't do poetry. For the people who aren't poetry readers, there is sure to be something in here for you. People have said that the poems in this anthology are very different, and just as times change, so has literature, and this anthology is one of the gems that has been salvaged through the words of a teenager.

Eastwood's chapbook, "Illumination," is a paean to adolescent angst, primarily written in free verse.

There are some deep pieces concerning suicide, eating disorders and addiction ... but the majority of the works seem to concern a blonde-haired, green-eyed girl who sometimes wears too much lipstick and spends a lot of time ignoring the writer.

For my money, the best piece in the work is "Gemini," with its clever emphasis on the duality of man, nature and art.

JOSEPH EASTWOOD was born on the 9th of June 1993, in Lancaster, England, although he’s fairly certain that he’s only a visitor on Earth. Wait unless you’re the with government, in which case, Joseph is a human being with human interests, such as reading, and not dissecting human beings in order to use them in his—ahem—fiction.

He has many writing interests, including young adult, poetry, fantasy, t
