Jim Money just wants his money back from Chuck. His girlfriend Jessica waits in the car and Jim demands his loan due, but Chuck is adamant about not paying it back. When Chuck's two brothers show up, it gets ugly, especially with shots being fired at Jim as he drives away.

Jim calls his best friend Steve to go collect from Chuck. Meanwhile, Jessica explains to Jim that although she loves the money he makes from illegal gambling and hustling, she wants a normal life. Jim thinks about it awhile and...more

Jim Money is a gambling man but he did not always be that way. In high school he was in the National Honor society, the math club, physics club, won the academic decathlon, won all-district in track and cross-country, was valedictorian and was only 12 credit hours away from completing his Master's is mathematics in college. Life would catch up with him and his desire to have more money would cause his to start his gambling career. At first he started with poker because poker is a thinking man's...more

Bon Appetit, by Glenn Gamble is a very short story. I read the prequel to the Jim Money stories yesterday and thought I would check out some of the others. So, this morning, I grabbed my kindle fire and reader dock, sat down at the kitchen table and started to read while having my breakfast.
Well, this is not the story to read over breakfast.
Jim is owed money by Chuck and he is trying to collect. Jim's girlfriend is tired of all the danger Jim puts himself in because of his occupation and wants...more

Ugh! Now I see where the title comes from the ending was like a nasty, but sick shocker, gross.
Jim wants his money that's owe to him by one dude name Chuck. His girl Jessica wants him to leave the street life. Come to find out Jim is well educated. Carla knows something's up with her man which is Jim's friend Steve. But when I find out what's really going on at the end I was like ugh.
Wasn't written well to me way overkill on the cussing and seems rushed. I also didn't care for the part when Jim...more

I thought I would give this series another chance and thank goodness it was short. (I had just finished another book and had a few minutes to spare. I will be near my Kindle for the next couple of days so I didn't want to start another regular length book.) Jim Money is not believable as the author describes him although at the end of the book he explains all of his characters -- those I can understand; just not in the story setting.

Jim wants his money back from Chuck, but when that doesn't...more

First, be warned this is a short story. The story is entertaining, I'll definitely say that. It starts quickly right out of the gate. I'm not really a fan of short stories and while a portion of it I really wish the author would have expounded on a bit more, I wasn't necessarily disppointed with it. The ending, while probably shocking to most, I found quite amusing, but you have to take into account my penchant for craziness! lol. All in all I would recommend this quick read to others!

I liked the premise of this story but I felt that the ending came out of nowhere after the long setup to get there. The author used established characters, but having not read any other in the series, I didn't feel that the relationships were clear or developed enough for my tastes. With a little more foreshadowing or perhaps as a shorter story, I would've given it a higher rating. I will say that I was creeped out a bit, which is always something I like...

Warning: There is massive swearing in this book.
I happen to be okay with vulgarity though, so I didn't let it deter me from reading on.
This was a really cool story with a deep, dark twist. One that some won't be able to stomach.
Again that is not me.
Very cool short story. Very cool indeed.

It wasn't what I thought it was. It was a short story with many unknown twists and turns. You will not beleive the ending...

Although, I'm not a fan of short stories. I enjoyed this one. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Former professional poker player Glenn Gamble is an author from Chicago, IL who doesn't have one of those inspiring stories where he goes to the state penitentiary to discover his gift for writing amazing stories. Instead, he worked on his craft during long romantic dates at Starbucks and Panera Bread with his laptop and a story. His inspiration came from friends who encouraged him to pursue his d...more
