LOVED this one. This story was another of the short stories available in the M/M group's free GayRomLit 2011 compilation. Adam and Lincoln are about to graduate from boarding school, and this story portrays the wonder of their recognizing and fulfilling their respective fantasies about each other. Naturally this short story was all wet and steamy sex!
Missy Welsh painted a super yummy portrayal of Adam with endearing qualities to match. The other MC (Lincoln) maintained a pleasant presence despite appearing as more of a supportive role for me.
If you're looking for some quick bookie nookie, this should not disappoint :)

While this wasn't my favorite photo (it wasn't as artistic as some of the others and had more of a bow-chicka-bwa-wow feel to it), I think Missy Welsh did an excellent job with the story. It must be difficult to see a photo and then create an entire story and characters around one single moment in time. I love Adam's character - he was so sweet and innocent. I liked the way the relationship started but I particularly liked the 10 years later epilogue. That was the best part of the story for me....more

I don't know what to say in this novel. It's just nothing in there.
Writing Style:
I had a hard time grasping what the author wanted to do with her scenes. Narration was absent almost all the time, and I think that was the reason the novel felt empty. The words she used were not bran new to my ears, so there's no hard work involved.
Pace:
Super slow! The whole novel got stuck in one scene and it did not move at all until that last 3 pages.

Im sorry, I can't be objective with this one. The first five chapters, and a big part of the six chapter too, remind me of one of the sadest situations in my life. I live something really similar this year, just some months ago, I was backpacking -alone- around South America, and I met a guy, to make it short, my story with him has a sad end (At least for me).

I didn't like Lincoln. It seemed like anyone could have walked into that bathroom and if they had a penis he would have invited them to wash his back. All of his own thoughts were slutty of other guys he has been with and stuff.

A short story about the unexpected romance between schoolmates.
Shy Adam encounters bold Lincoln in the school showers one late night and they both decide to make something out of that meeting.
Despite the fact that the story is short, both characters develop rather nicely, and the emotions they have for each other are pictured clearly; so are their thoughts. I was worried Lincoln might not be the man I thought him to be, but his behavior later on was far more than I'd ever expected.

Loved Adam's shy nervousness and Lincoln's cocky bravado hiding a vulnerable heart; their connections was hot, sweet and wonderful. Then to have a scene 10 years down the track where their connection is not only stronger but sweeter too! And my favorite mental image?

This was a very cute story. I thought at first that this was going to be a fantasy for Adam. And, I may be dating myself here, but the thought that ran through my head was the shower scene from Weird Science, when the boys were showering with Kelly LeBrock; they had their pants on! Totally hilarious. But then, Lincoln actually spoke to Adam and got him to enter the shower, and that's where the "magic" began to happen. It was short, but sweet. A good read.
Oh, young love and HEA - one of my favorite combinations! This was such a romantic story. I loved Adam for his sweet, slightly awkward and enthusiastic way. I loved Lincoln's playful attitude and quite the creative twist on monkey see, monkey do;) Their internal dialogue and conversations had just the right dose of humor to add the fun element to the story. And you gave us the perfect ending - a definite HEA. Wow, just awesome! Thank you, Missy!!!
What a beautiful story! Adam was such a lovely character! So open and giving and loving--he was the most amazingly perfect balance to Lincoln. The two of them together were pure magic, the way they seemed to complete and balance each other out. The beginning scenes were hot, but my favorites were the later scenes when we get to see Linc's tenderness and just how amazing Adam really is.
I truly enjoyed reading this story. Adam and Lincoln are both in the upper class in the academy. An encounter in the bathroom in the middle of the night gives them something that would last long. Adam is a virgin who has crush on Lincoln. Despite being out for long and with more experience, Lincoln is experiencing something that he's never felt before: love.

The cover is pretty close to what the inspiring image contained -- except that it's missing one boy, but let's pretend he's taking the photo. Hope you enjoy this one!
Well first, I have waited for this story ever since Missy chose to write it.
Second, once read, it blew me away because Lincon and Adam are so beautiful together. The 10 yrs later was perfect, as well as the gift given for their anniversary, which btw, was adorable.

This was just the most adorable thing I've read in ages! Adam and Lincoln are both so very sweet. They click immediately and the sexual tension is palpable. A good 80% of the story is sex and it is hot and steamy! And the ending is lovely. A great feel good story. Will read again.
I loved this, such a cute little read. Adam was so adorable and precious perfectly balances out Lincoln's boldness. The ending was heart warming, I didn't want it to end, I wanted to keep reading more and more.

What started a bit as pwp, which I didn't mind either, turned into a wonderful sweet and cute and romantic little story. And let's face it – it was also super HOT! I very much enjoyed it!

I loved this! One of my favorites...I just love Missy's writing and how easy and real it all feels. I loved both guys and how nervous they were and I just LOVED the ending!
I absolutely loved this way-too-short story! It was so sweet watching both boys struggle with insecurities, although in different ways. I most definitey loved the ending. Made me say AWW out loud in anticipation of what was coming. Total 5 stars from me!
