Thoeba was such a refreshing new outlook on the battle of Dark and Light. Humans play a critical part in this supernatural battle and I love how for once it's up to them to save themselves and everything Light. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down.

Darkness attacks Eden where the light (angels) live and Thani, Thoeba's eternal love is killed trying to save the Energy. The Energy is the creator of all but the darkness has a hunger that...more

Donna's debut novel is a fantastic adventure. Thoeba, a creature of light or angel as the rest of us know them, is tasked with saving the Energy when the darkness comes. The Energy created the world and the creatures, light and dark. Now the darkness is growing stronger and trying to destroy the Energy and its worlds. When Thoeba's mate dies in her world, she has no choice but to take it to Earth in hopes of saving it.
Most of her abilities are gone as well as her wings. She must count on new al...more

Thoeba (an angel) lands, literally, on earth with a dunk in the water. Peter, out fishing, rescues her. He then takes her home and all hell breaks loose.

Thoeba is disdainful of humans, of their emotions and frailties. The development of Thoeba’s character is a journey worth taking. Despite being a seraphim, she has much to learn. She has little compassion or empathy for humans. They are an annoyance, but Peter and his children Zach and Kayla change her mind. As...more

Fasten your seatbelts please, it’s going to be a bumpy ride! This book hit the ground running, or the water, I should say. Thoeba is an Angel, A Warrior that has fled her home to protect “the energy”, as the Demons (darkness) destroyed it and most of her kind. Peter, a human, is out on the lake for a nice quiet day of fishing until something (or someone) falls from the sky and crash lands in the water. All this takes place in the first chapter!

I LOVED this refreshingly, unique new twist on Ange...more

I absolutely adored this book! Thoeba is a story of good vs. evil, light and dark. Wonderful battles with Thoeba the earth bound Angel working along side her "humans" in rounds and rounds of battles with the demons. A new twist to the Good vs. Evil story.

Thoeba is an angel fighting a war in Eden. Her true love Thani fights beside her and is in charge of the energy aka God. She the warrior and he the guardian. When he dies at the hands of a demon. She takes charge of the energy, which happens to be a pendant on a necklace. Confused? Don't be. It's explained much better in the book.

We follow Thoeba into the next realm, which just happens to be earth. The portal opens up right...more

Darkness and evil are everywhere. There is a battle of good and evil, and love will be lost. Thani was the guardian of the energy, or as humans call it god. The battle did not go in his favor and he was lost, so Thoeba took the energy to protect. She has lost her love of her life Thani. She lost her wings. I never felt that she lost her faith or spirit at all. She does not understand why she is here on earth (Realm) and her distaste for humans. W...more

I had mixed feelings about this book, so that's why it ended up with a 3.5/5 hearts. I love pretty much all novels about angels, mythologies, that type of thing, so that's what I mostly liked about this book. However, I feel like the author could have given us more background and story build-up in the beginning of the book, instead of rushing in and leaving the reader to piece things together. It took away from some of the story, because instead of enjoying the s...more

Thoeba is an angel in what appears to be a classic battle of good vs. evil. But this battle is anything but classic as she plummets to Earth, losing her wings in the process, yet retaining her hold on the Energy (her god). Her entire existence has changed, yet she knows the battle remains. Her objective also remains as she must restore the Energy to power. Meanwhile, there is at least one demon ready to destroy her and the Energy - the Jim-thing. Why is Thoeba with the family on the lake? Who wi...more

Thoeba, a fallen angel warrior, has escaped to Earth to protect her deity, her God, from the demons. She has always found humans as useless creatures that think too loud. That is, until she meets Peter.

While Peter is fishing near his cabin outside Alberta, Thoeba appears wearing nothing but her deity and two wing shaped burns etched into her back. Knowing he could not leave her there, he brings her back to his A-frame retreat. Peter quickly realizes that the more he learns about Thoeba, the more...more

Here is the beautiful thing about this story. Theoba (main character) is sort of like an angel. She has to save the world from darkness by setting the "Energy," free. The thing that is really cool though, is she has to depend on the help of humans. They basically have to save themselves in this book. Unlike other good vs. evil books, this one hinges on so many different factors. It isn't just will the good guys defeat the bad ones.

The characters she meets along the way are strong and they reall...more

Thoeba is a pure bred angel created by god, the deity, what ever you want to call the energy that made us all. She was around for our beginning and came to our dimension to witness our worst using her telepathy and inivisibilty to mask her and uncover our true natures. Her world Eden that she shares with her soul mate Thani has been overrun by the darkness and in a battle to save it she lost both it and Thani. The energy sent them both to Earth as a last ditch effort to save them all but there's m...more

Wow! This book is filled with suspenseful moments right from the beginning! I absolutely love this new original idea for angels and God! I've never read anything like this before and it was so awesome to have a new world and concept opened up for me!
In this tale we meet Thoeba a warrior angel who has the weight of the world on her shoulders and has to protect the most important thing to mankind and the most important thing to keep the balance of all realms from evil darkness taking over all lif...more

Thoeba is a warrior, an angel, a protector. She will give everything she can to protect her god, The Energy, from evil. She’s lost her love, her wings and her dignity and the only thing left is to retreat to Earth to save The Energy.

But darkness follows her to the mortal planet, and Thoeba must rely on her new friends to help her restore The Energy to power. With her now limited abilities, she must rely on the human spirit (and human technology) to safeguard her friends and her god.

Thoeba is no cliched fallen angel. She's a warrior of the Energy, and an angel seeking her lost love. She's fierce, compassionate, and smart - heck, when I grow up I want to BE Thoeba. Through her eyes, the reader is transported on a dangerous journey to Earth, and we must outrun demons (like Jim-thing!) and restore the Energy to its power...like, now!

Donna Milward is a fresh voice in paranormal romance fiction, but you'd think she was a seasoned pro. Despite this book's commercial appeal, Donn...more

This was a pretty interesting story about an epic battle to save Earth from the monsters from Hell. I really liked that the angel Thoeba wasn't just a stoic warrior but felt human emotions. The idea to have the god be the Energy and be trapped inside a jewel was kinda interesting. I was getting a little bored with it in the middle but it got a lot better toward the end. All in all, a good read.

First off I have to say Donna Milward did a fantastic job of writing Thoeba.

The book starts off with Thoeba in the middle of a battle against Hell's demons and she has to flee in order to protect the Energy aka(GOD). She winds up landing on earth where she has no one to turn to but for the help of humans whom she despises. As the book comes along she finds her self caring about the humans she now calls friends.

With Thoeba, Donna Milward not only created a whimsical love story that transcends realms, she also injected a lot of intrigue, twisted suspense as well as strong, memorable characters into her story that readers will find themselves unable to put this book down. Although the story wasn’t intended to sound very religious, still it was spiritually uplifting and had strong messages that could make you ponder for a moment. Overall, the book wasn’t a typical angel story that merely focused on helple...more

Engaged in a battle with the spawns of Satan, Thorns is forced to flee from the heavens to earth in order to save herself. She drops in the middle of a lake and winds up in the middle of life with Peter and his children. Humans are so not her favorite species!

The story line is strong, a little drawn out at times, but it flowed so well. The characters and detail were also factors that pulled me in. There were quite a few typos though (I read the kindle version of the book)that really subtracted from the reading experience. Over all a great read for YA fiction lovers.

Heaven is overthrown and an angel falls to earth, losing her wings in the process. She has a pendant that conatains, THE ENERGY, which is God. The evil has followed her and she needs to find the right equipment to set THE ENERGY free. When Thoeba falls to earth, she is found by ex army colonel Peter. Him and his two children,Zack(a computer guru) and Kayla, set out to help her. They pick up a young army private along the way and head for a supposedly non-existant army base. In reading this book I went through a few stages. In starting it, it seemed very interesting, main character- Thoeba, crash landing basically on earth with the deity and Peter finding her. Alright- well where is this going to go? That got me, I wanted to keep reading to find out. Then it started to get into "It" and "It" was "God" ... which threw me for a loop for a bit. I wasn't sure if it was going to star to get religious or what...but I've never been one to just throw a book out for that so...more

I just love books about angels! Sometimes they have the best twist and turns. Donna Milward's debut novel Theoba did not disappoint!

Donna pulls you into this world where Theoba (an angel that has fallen to Earth), Peter (divorced human) and his 2 kids, Kayla and Zach, intertwine with each other and create a AMAZING STORY! There is fighting, angels, demons, humor and everything in between!! I love the interactions between the characters and the battle between with good and evil!!
