Okay, I just realized something. I hate studying because this book is shit. It's not me. The vocabulary is either ridiculously easy or "WTF, who has ever used that word in LIFE?", (and you know that's bad 'cause I read a lot of Victorian authors who are daaaamn impressed with themselves and their education) and many of their analogies either don't make sense or are very, very obvious. I don't agree with their reading comprehension answers, and I don't think that's my fault sometimes. S...more
This book is terrible! It is full of typos, and huge chunks of it were obviously cut and pasted from some other publication. In the chapter on the Analytical Writing (Essay) section of the GRE, this book had text about how to answer punctuation and grammar questions. There are no punctuation and grammar questions on the GRE! How am I supposed to trust a book that wasn't even copy-edited, especially for something as important as, oh, GETTING INTO GRAD SCHOOL?
