‘But, in reality it’s not time that’s passing, my boy.’ ‘Isn’t it?’ ‘It’s us. Without people, time would have no hands.’ ‘So what does time do, then?’ I asked. ‘Time heals all wounds. And time opens up more.’

‘Someone who plays hide-and-seek with time is only playing hide-and-seek with himself.’

‘That’s the outside world. But there’s also a world within you, and that’s called the world of fantasy. Are you saying you know everything about that world right down to the smallest detail?’

É engraçado constatar a imaginação fértil deste grande autor no enlace desta narrativa.

I read this book when I was about 10 years old. I loved it and it stayed with me until now and I hope for years to come. I remember it as being magical and there was definitely more to it than just a great fairytale.
