Perusing this collection was less an exercise in reading short stories and more an experience in traveling through the wondrous and thrilling (and a bit terrifying at times) world of Charles Schneider.

When I cracked open the MAUVE EMBELLISHMENTS (ME), I felt as though I were transported to a gallery of mysterious curios and art.
