When Rowena falls through her classroom wall and lands in an alternate world, she doesn't count on being kidnapped―not once, but twice. Unwanted husbands keep piling up, but that doesn't stop her from falling for the wrong brother. Good thing she has the ability to go back through the wall. Or can she?

when i first started reading this book i was a little confused as to where the story was going and how the charachers were going to play out. the more i read the less i was confused and the more intrigued i became.
by the time i was done with the book i was in love. i fell in love witht eh main characters and the settings.
the story did have a lot of twists and turns and it was confusing in some places. there were even times where i wanted to throw a character aganist the wall because of how annoy...more

"Rowena Through the Wall" is the story of Rowena Revel, mind-mannered animal vet and teacher, who, one day, finds herself drawn into a magical, medieval fantasy world.

Once there, she discovers that not only is the granddaughter of one of the lords of the kingdom (her mother stepped through a portal from the kingdom into the "real" world before Rowena was born), but she's the only woman in the whole kingdom (thanks to a witch's curse a generation back, and, naturally, the reason her mother fled)...more

This was a really hard book to put down. So I didn’t. I basically blew off a Saturday (when I had plenty of other things I should have been doing) and read it from start to finish.

The characters were wonderful. I loved Rowena, although I didn’t know whether to envy her or feel sorry for the position she found herself in, as the only woman in a kingdom full of men. This isn’t exactly a time-travel story – the mixture of cultures and the double moon make it clear it’s no longer Earth – but in the...more

All I can say is "Wow!", when is the next book coming out? I'm going to have to start testing my walls to find a portal. This book captivated me so much I was barely able to put the book down. Melodie Campbell's writing is imaginative and mesmerizing as she transports her protagonist into an entirely different world. The clothing and attitudes resemble many time lines in our world history, but the surprise here is that they are all happening at once. I can only describe thi...more

My review:

This book made me giggle and laugh like I haven’t done for long time while reading! Rowena Through the Wall started out with lot of action – the main character simply enters to an alternate world through the wall and within less than 100 pages got married more than once, kidnapped several times and survived all that. There were many things happening in the beginning of the book, so I was thinking: Hey, wait a minute, this is so funny and surreal, who are all these men and this simply c...more

This book is sexy, funny, and fast paced. I laughed out loud more than once and could easily visualize the action in the book.

Many readers will enjoy this book, though some will have moments of discomfort as I did.
Our heroine Rowena starts seeing hot looking men in medieval garb come through the wall of her classroom. They soon began to enter her dreams, until she realizes it's not a dream it's a portal into another world, Land's End. Rowena learns that her mother had been born in this world,...more

College instructor Rowena Revel leads a fairly normal, if unexciting life. She teaches her classes, works as a vet, just broke up with her boyfriend and isn’t too sad about that. There is nothing earth shattering or exciting happening here. Then one day, a gorgeous tunic-clad man seems to just walk through the wall into her classroom. Now THIS is strange! To add to this, Rowena starts having vivid, life like, erotic dreams where she is transported to a mystic land starring said tunic-clad man.

This was a good book but it had many issues that prevented me from giving it a 4 star review. The first and most important is scene changes. Oh my God, they were really bad. It was so rushed and the scenes jumped from one to the next without structure, I nearly stopped reading. Please, get through this because it does get better as the book progresses.

There are twists, turns and some hot love scenes that keep the pace. The plot sounded intrig...more

At first, she thinks she's dreaming. But soon, the fine line between dreams and reality are becoming a blur, and Rowena tries hard to make sense of this crazy, wild ride.

Rowena is a great heroine! I absolutely loved her, and how she handled the situation she found herself in. Rowena through the wall is laugh out loud funny, adventurous, and an all around great read! The pacing is intense, there isn't a dull moment to be found, and I can't wait to be able to read the sequel.

This book is a wonder...more

Rowena, veterinarian and college professor. While in class, a beautiful viking-like behemoth wearing a tunic and sword appears, but no one else seems to see him. She questions him, which seems to shock him, and he retreats---through the wall of her classroom. Curious. She eventually travels through this "portal" and then a harrowing yet exciting situation begins. She meets her grandfather and cousins as well as many others, all of whom want her for their own. Treachery, jealousy, passion and lov...more

Rowena Through the Wall does not disappoint. It is exactly as described, funny, lots of sex, adventurous, and one feisty heroine. Melodie Campbell takes us on a wild ride from the present right back to medieval times. This book is not for the feint-hearted, there's a lot of sex and some blood and gore.

In this alternate world, there are almost no women, so Rowena is much sought after. Maybe I'm a bit of a prude, but I had issues with her bouncing around to different men and not hesitating to jump...more

I was hoping to really enjoy this book but it went from good to blah, then back to good again with a repeat at blah over and over again. Rowena was an interesting character but she ended up as little more than a pawn being passed from one man to the next.

The setting was good, the premise great, but the entire pawn in the hands of whatever man got hold of her just didn't work in this particular book. If this had been a capture/bondage novel - then the way she ends up being passed around works -...more

Melodie Campbell is known for her humour and crime writing, but with Rowena Through the Wall, Campbell takes her considerable talents into the world of romantic comedy and the result is fabulous! A hot and funny fantasy that starts with a portal in Rowena’s classroom and leads the reader into a world filled with magic, men and swashbuckling adventure. Add in the kind of storytelling that keeps those pages turning and you have the perfect sizzling summer read!

Rowena Through the Wall was a wonderful read! I enjoyed Ms. Campbell's book so much. I think I must have smiled through the majority of it, laughing out loud at times. This book, while not your average romance with its delicious revolving door of heroes, is pure whimsy and so sexy. Rowena, the beleaguered heroine, is lead by magic into a magical world where she is possibly the one woman alive who can bear a child. She becomes very attractive to the lonely men there. Her adventures see her visiti...more

I loved this book. It held my attention from the first sentence. It was very well written, it had a great story line, and a beautiful ending. I couldn't put it down and when I was done reading it, I wanted more. The author created a wonderful fantasy world which felt very realistic. Great job! Definitely recommending to everyone and searching for more books by this author.

I read this after checking reviews on another site and it was highly rated. I was disappointed with the ending, which seemed to stop mid-story. I had no idea i was even close. Nothing even seemed to wrapup, even if this is just Volume 1. Plus, I found the actions of Rowena to be unbelievable repeatedly. I cant recommend this one.

I liked the way the plot kept changing. In the beginning from dream to reality and then in the end from man to man. I must say I wasn't sure what would happen until the very end as I noticed I only had 3% of the book left. In this way it was different and I liked not being able to predict the end.

Free download and I did not care for this at all. Was a little confusing at the beginning, the writing hard to follow, but got some better. Enter man after man that really force themselves on this women. No thanks.
Kathryn
Ok. So this was a pretty guessable read. The sex wasn't very hot, and the fighting amongst the males regarding Rowena got pretty tiresome. There is a second story but not sure I'll read it.

A great frollicking read and terrifically entertaining.

It really lands a 3.5, but since that is not an option, it gets a 3.

I loved the story line between two worlds, what I didn't care for was how Rowena was passed around, a little to much.

Mind you, I love a good lust in the dust story, this was just a bit too much.

I read a romance novel just for kicks and giggles off the free books on Kindle.

I'll give it two stars because there was actually a bit of a plot but it got annoying that Rowena ended up getting bedded by four or five guys in the course of the novel. Her sidekick Goth is amusing.

Reall fun read! Bran new idea of TT. Loved the story but the end was kinda rush.

Melodie achieved a personal best this year when Library Digest compared her to Janet Evanovich.

Melodie got her start writing comedy so it's no surprise that editors have called her fiction "wacky" and "laugh-out-loud funny". She has over 200 publications, including 40 short stories, and has won 6 awards for fiction.

Her third novel, "The Goddaughter" a comic mob caper, has been called "Hilarious" b...more
