This freebie is perfect because:
It's a modern fairy tale... perfect to those days we want a little of magic in our lives.
It's a funny... Perfect when after a long and sad day we need to smile.
It's very well written... Perfect because the story flows, and when you less expect it's already ended... And you will be happy, after such tender love story.

This story reminded me why I love Clare London's writing so much. It's sweet and funny with two very loveable leads, plus an old granny with a dirty mind. Loved the wings and the small touches to the fantasy which never overwhelmed the down to earth realism of the contemporary setting. What more could you want from romance? Marvellous!
I love, love, LOVED this! I thought it was written just beautifully. I loved Admael's confusion over clothing that was too binding and human life and his love for Jonathan. And I love Jonathan's Gran! She had some of the best lines in the story! :D

Beautiful story, this is one of my favorites that I have read out of them all! Thank you!
Another short from Don't Read in the Closet (Free Download). The Gran in this story was definitely my favorite character. In this short, a hard-working sweet man named Jonathan meets an angel on the beach - literally. I must admit, the description of the angel in the short was much hotter than the photo that inspired it so I did not picture this photo while I was reading. Usually the photo drives my imagination while reading these photo-inspired shorts, but in this case, imagination was better t...more

This was a very nice short story about an angel who comes to earth to help a very sweet young man. Jonathan does everything for everyone, but never seems to find the time for happiness for himself, that is, until the angel Adamel comes into his life. Great HEA.

A hard-working, caring, responsible man plus a sexy, somewhat confused, but incredibly sincere angel equals an absolutely brilliant story. Admael is positively devoted to Jonathan from their first meeting. Admael constantly proves to Jonathan that he (Jonathan) is worthy of devotion from said sexy angel. Clare London has written a sweet, sexy, hot love story. Great dialogue, wonderful secondary characters (Gran is so flippin hilarious I can't even describe her except to say it's true that some o...more

The writing is great. Smooth and detailed.

But I never got into the story, I loved Gran and her sandwiches and her blunt phrasing of everything. But the two MC’s just didn’t click for me when they were together. I got bored whenever it was just the two of them but enjoyed it when other characters were around. Not sure why but I never felt the connection between them, I rarely like angel stories though so maybe that had something to do with it

Admael is the perfect Angel! He's a bit shy and naive but very determined to be with his man:) Jonathan is just sweet, and really seems like the proverbial nice guy. It was very fitting that they were both novices in the love, sex and relationship departments. This story had a little bit of everything wonderful - great main characters, a meddling Gran of the best variety, an intriguing storyline, a little bit of humor, sugar and spice, and of course, wings! Absolutely loved it, thank you Clare!!...more
I love the story, Clare! So sweet, so very cute... a fantasy we've all had a time or two. I wish it were as easy as saying a little prayer, but love that Admael was there for Jonathan, (almost) always there for him. :)

I just can't stop smiling for how it's make me feel, how happy and contented it makes me feel.

This is probably the most beautiful romantic story I've read for HSD anthology so far! I love the confusion Admael when it comes to wearing clothes. The development between them was at a perfect pace. Thank you!

I have to say...Gran's my fav character in this story :D
Perfect Clare! Sweet, cute, funny and hot! I can just imagine a naive heavenly angel reacting like Admael, while Jonathan certainly deserves happiness in his life. Thank you for writing this story.

"Why me?" I asked. "I'm nothing special."
"You're everything special, Jonathan."

Warning, this story involves one horny angel XDD
Sweet little angel love story. It was out of my genre, but I enjoyed it. However, the ending was confusing.

Loved this story about a guy who falls in love with his own personal angel on the beach!
Lovely romantic story of a boy and his angel. And a very funny Gran!

I liked this one. It is about a young man who describes himself as: "Baywatch Boy I am not"; he's a hard worker who holds several jobs and helps his mother run a little B&B. His "Gran" has come to live with them and has prayed for her Jonathan, "because he is such a good boy" to get laid! Go Gran! For him to find a nice boy and spend a night "shagging" even if it's only for a night... he needs a break. Well, wouldn't you know Jonathan comes across a lonely man on a closed beach, naked, gorge...more

Say a Little Prayer by Clare London is a short story that boldly introduces the theme of a man meeting his guardian angel. For obvious reasons, angels are not as popular in erotic romance as their devilish counterparts. Devils exist to sin, right? Or to tempt humans to sin. But angels and erotic comedy are a little harder to mix without losing momentum to questions of spirituality and religion. Here, the author succeeds by making the otherwise innocent angel cheerfully enthusiastic about his att...more

A short sweet piece.

As much as i enjoyed the fairy-story like innocence; this lacked grit.
The sex scenes were flat and barely covered (i mean, why write an m/m romance short story if you don't like to explore the intimacy?)

Plenty of unanswered questions even by the ending. However for a piece this short this isnt a deal breaker.

Characters were adorable, if (again) somewhat lacking depth. The sassy gran was awesome.

All in all- pleased i read it, will no doubt kill a spare hour on sone future r...more
Story Prompt:
A fallen angel? A demon? On a tropical beach? I think he needs some help... Who can find him? A hot Lifeguard? A shy fisherman? Thank you kind writer, for taking my letter in consideration. :-)

Short n sweet. I liked the author's style and will look to read a longer story by Clare London. I didn't really understand the ending though - or rather, the significance of the ending... I sure there was something more to it than the joke, but what? (That is not a spoiler, trust me :)
