A wonderfully fun little book put together like a scrapbook that Samantha kept while traveling to England on an ocean liner. There are little envelopes that open and have maps or cards inside, drawings, pictures... most anything that one would put in a scrapbook. The story itself is a bit thin and the writing would have been so much better if an attempt had been made at Victorian era language (it sounded much too modern!), but the art and delightful little extras made up for it.

This book was a lot of fun. Here we join American Girl Samantha as she travels across the ocean on a trip to England. The biggest disappointment was coming to the end of the trip and thinking, wait, there's so much more that has to happen next! I really wish that they had followed through with her trip IN Europe as well.

The bits added to the story make this fun. The copy of the telegram looks and feels real, and the contrast of the menus really illustrates the differences between those traveling

This is another book in the "scrapbook" series from American Girl, and concerns a voyage by Samantha's journey to England on a luxury liner. It contains a wide variety of "pull-out souvenirs" which lend more reality to the book. It follows her adventures as she explores the entire boat and that part is also extremely interesting as she does everything from meeting the Captain of the boat to seeing the boiler room.

It's a beautifully done book and definitely worth getting.

I've always loved these three scrapbooks, and wish they would have made them for other characters. Samantha's is a quick jaunt across the ocean, with wonderful pictures, pullouts, and details. Truly a hands on read, and part of a favorite set of mine.

I love all of the little bits and pieces tucked away in this book! It's really nice that it's in first person and I love Samantha's comments!
