For those of you who wonder why I continue reading her if I have such petty problems with the vocabulary she uses, I am reading one author a month. February was Lisa Jackson month.

As I previously reviewed she over uses words and phrases, which could easily be corrected with a thesaurus.

Before reading her I had never heard the word "niggle", which means trifling doubt, objection, complaint and seems to have originated in England. She uses this word in excess in this book, with the setting in Ore...more

Lisa Jackson's books are great! The story always grabs you and keeps you reading till the last page. In this one, a young man is found floating lifeless in a lake and the police determine that it was an accident. Certain parties knew otherwise. Now, sixteen years later, the truth will come out. The two ruling families in the small Oregon logging town were the Hollands and the Taggerts. When a book is to be written about the unsolved death of Harley Taggert, no one wants the book written. Everyon...more

love love LOVE this book. ive read it so many times now and keep cpming back because i like it so much. rarely do you see an author weave so many character stories or timelines together well but jackson does both very well in my opinion. just enough mystery and action if thats your thing woth just enough romance to keep the starry eyed people satisfied. somehow no matter how much i read i am always surprised at the end

Wow it was awesome so very hard to put down.
Lots of twist and turns.
The suspense was the best but i had a feeling who the killer was and she kinda gave it away around the middle.
The story line was so dam good but to me a little to much and in deph with the sex seanes.
I have read meany Lisa Jackson books and have enjoyed them all this was a lil difrent from her usealy writing but i still could not put it down.
GREATE BOOK BY A GREAT AUTHER

Melanie Chabrol-
It was well written, though like before don't like the past, present and future. the Holland girls have it all, they are from a rich family, learning to trust their hearts and experiece love. 16 years they have shared a secret and it is now leaking out with an old friend writing about an old death. who is the killer? Will Claire,Miranda and Tessa live a normal and happy life. Who is the guilty one? find out and don't tell just WHISPER

This was an okay read.
I just couldn't get past the ick factor of the bed hopping and so many characters that it just got cofusing keeping track of who was who and who was sleeping with whom but in love with who.....and well just throwing everything in was just not really necessary.
We knew one of the people was a sleaze without the excess.

This is my third romantic suspense I've read from Lisa Jackson. This version is an expanded newer version from the original she released years. In Whispers, Claire St. John returns to her small town in Oregon, when a 16-year old murder is being uncovered by Kane Moran, her former lover. In the first half of the book, you'll learn about the scandal in the present. In the second half, we'll rewind back in time to what lead to the scandal, as Claire and her two sisters, Miranda and Tessa, each sha...more

I liked this book but I read the "extended" addition and I think it would've been better without it. I don't know how much detail was added but I thought it would have moved faster with less =) Overall a great read though. good suspense and she kept me guessing!
Amy
I've never read anything by Lisa Jackson before, and I have to say this book was just all right. It lacked the suspenseful punch I was waiting for. I felt like the book was too focused on past events, instead of moving toward a conclusion in the present.
Jennifer
This was an awesome book, a real page turner. Loved the past/present story lines. L.J. has proven once again why she is a best selling author. You can't help but be drawn in by this book.

Slow start, way too quick ending where the intricate murder mystery/potential catastrophe is suddenly wrapped up in two pages.... But the middle is good.

This book is one of my favorites of Lisa Jackson books. I loved the story, the characters, and the suspense. I was drawn instantly and could not put it down.

This book was a great read, a real " who dunn it ", it was a challenge right up to the end. The three sisters were very differnet but very believable, all the characters had a specific duty to this mystery. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a true mystery, I give it a 4 1/2 stars !
Read on.........

I had never read anything by Lisa Jackson before. I was not impressed. I don't think I'll be picking up any of her other books anytime soon.

Enjoying the book, but I want to fast forward at times. I don't want to put the book down, but it makes me feel anquished and frustrated - don't know why. It's like I feel too connected to the characters and want them to hurry up and get on with the story. According to summaries I've read, Clair is the main character, but there are so many characters involved and all of their stories are thoroughly told. I think I would have liked a little less character development with the secondary characters...more

What can I say? I'm a big Lisa Jackson fan. I don't much care for the profanity or sex scenes, but the woman can write suspense.
Kristin

This book was great! Suspense until the last page. Very good mystery with several b
"bad" characters.
Tracy
Wow, what a thrilling page turner, I really enjoyed this book. I could really immerse myself in the characters. Well done.
Jesse
Interesting plot line, following 2 families through a mysterious number of deaths. Rather sexual, but overall an enjoyable, easy read.
Angelia
I am a bit impressed with Lisa Jackson, I was on the edge of my seat reading this book.
Bonnie
A quick, easy read. Not my favorite by Lisa Jackson, but I enjoyed it.
Kimberly
I liked it because it took a while to know what the secret is.
Greg
Not my style. Thought it was a murder mystery - but it was a romance
Pat Moffitt
This was a free nook book. So glad I didn't pay for it.
Sandra
I actually read this one twice! Great book by L. Jackson.
Shannon
This was a story of three sisters, two rivaling families, a small town, and murder. The characters were human and flawed. It was also, as one character put it, a bit of a soap opera.
Kim
Overall a good book. Things are over described.
Katherine Braybrook
Excellent book but filled with too many characters who keep their brains in their pants instead of their heads.
