A highly enjoyable, tense story set during the Jeffersonian Embargo and just before the War of 1812. It is primarily a romance, but the author, and thus the main character, exudes a love of the sea and the tall ships that sail it. There were a few elements of the romance that I didn't care for, dropping the rating a bit, but in general I really liked this "sea novel."
