If you’ve visited the Rainbow Street Shelter before you are sure to enjoy this story of a young girl, Sam, with a speech problem and her search for a pet that would be allowed for the apartment where she lives. In the process of finding Henry, the perfect pet for herself, Sam ends up getting a ‘reading dog’ for her school, and specifically her younger brother’s kindergarten class. Animal lovers are sure to be pleased with this and its interwoven stories!

This book's focus is largely on pet ownerships, but also touches on physical challenges. This would be a excellent choice for a "to be continued" read aloud.
Ashley Greenfield
This is good beginner chapter book. It talks about pet ownership and briefly talks about physical challenges.

What a very cute book. I loved how it evolved. I did think the ending was rather quick, but overall, I liked reading this book.
