I read this in one four sitting. Richard Dunn has such a handle on this subject and tells the history of the telescope in such a straight-forward way that you can read this book semi-attentively with some distraction. Dunn dedicates just enough time to each period and key player involved in the evolution of the telescope. For someone like myself that has read little-to-nothing about the telescope and its history, this is a perfect entry point and invites further research, should I decide.
