Breeding Cycle offers a sexy and steamy read. The main characters Sarina and Vane have enough about them to follow and like, yet there's not quite enough about them to really bond with. The plot development moves along nicely with a variety of highs, yet the bits in between the sex always seemed a little rushed which was a shame as this novella, whilst enjoyable, has so much potential.
I didn't see any major errors that many reviews have mentioned. Certainly nothing to distract me from the story....more

The very first sentence starts the book with a sexual interlude. I don't particularly care for books that begin in that manner because no story line has been established at that point.

Princess Sarina is sent away by her father due to her breeding cycle, any males around her would have sex with her and not be able to control himself. She is a princess her father a kink of lykaen. The start of this book begins partway through a dream (although this is not immediately clear) and what a dream! We are talking M/F/M. Once you get past the beginning you realise that this is a young woman/Lykae who is about to go through her Breeding Cycle which is not as pleasant as it sounds as she is forced to go through it alone. Her father is manipulative and uncaring and you are left with questions about his past as the book goes on.

I couldn't finish this book. I thought it was so boring. And the characters were so boring and wimpy. If there's a female werewolf, I want her to be strong! The heroine in this one is a whiny, sobbing weakling. Maybe she's just so broken from years of being beaten down, or something, but she's uninspiring. She just sits and waits to be rescued. This was a DNF for me.
The writing style was very choppy and it grated on my nerves. There was too much sex and not enough plot. I stopped halfway so I don't know if whether the plot eventually kicks in or not, and I have no wish to find out.
There was no character development. While I didn't mind the heroine in the beginning, I could at least tolerate her while she and the hero spent time at the cabin, when she was back at the castle with her best friend, she completely changed and spoke like a t...more

It's an interesting premise but unfortunately it fails to live up to expectations. The opening scene involves the heroine participating in a threesome with two men - what isn't clear is the fact that it's a dream sequence. The sex scenes make up the majority of the book and the plot is underdeveloped. At the end we are left no wiser than we started. ...So why did I keep reading? The sex was smoking hot and very well written (aside from the above mentioned issues). T.A. has writing talent for certain, and that good writing (despite the issues that should have been hashed out by a good editor) kept me reading. The plot kept me reading as well. I have to admit, I needed to know what happened to these two characters. Which means the author did her job and made me care about them.

I liked the premise of this story, the character development, and the twists and turns in the plot. However, there were so many typos and grammatical errors in this book that I was repeatedly thrown out of the story. Some readers may not be affected by this but I find it distracting. Significant proof reading is required. Due to this issue, I dropped my rating of 3 stars down to 2 stars. Unfortunate, since this story has potential.
I was surprised as my distaste for this book. It starts off with a sexual fantasy that takes me forever to realize was just a dream. Then continues to jerk around from scene to scene keeping me slightly confused. I couldn't relate to the characters and I never thought Id say this but the story was stuck in the bedroom for too long....especially when things weren't going anywhere and my characters weren't lovable. Definitely wont be moving on to book 2.
I didn't love the book, but I did enjoy reading a book about lykaens...ever since I read the IAD books, I've had a soft spot for them. The story wasn't extremely long and drawn out which I liked. I also liked the hot sex scenes, and I loved Vane...I just wish that Sarina had a little more backbone when it came to her and him initially. The whole Kategan family was fun to read about. I thought Vera was a riot.
What about proof-reading a book before publishing it? I never came across THAT many irritating typos/ wrong words in a novel, and this is a very short one!

Thanks to Samantha's review, I picked up this book on my Kindle and was not disappointed. It looks like this will be a great series. I'm on the 2nd book now.
Be aware- there is lots of graphic sex. Lots. Graphic. If that bothers you, this is not for you.

Warning: paranormal. If you don't like werewovles and the like, skip this. If you're looking for something a dirty, here you go. That's the only reason I gave it three stars-- it certainly delivers on that level.
If you're so inclined, the others deliver as well on that level. But the stories evolve to be better written with actual plots, and by #5, I wanted to find out what would happen. Not just get to the next sex scene.

Great book! Nearly 300 pages (which I like ALOT!) Kickass plot and characters for a paranormal romance book. Right up there with my Alexandra Anthony books i got on my nook and WORTH THE READ if your just getting into 18+ paranormal books!
Hmmmm......Can a book have too much sex in it? I think I would have preferred a shorter book with less sex and more dialogue. I liked the plot and the characters, just too much for me....Will read the next book to see if its more of the same or if it's toned down a bit!

it was ok, wouldnt add it to my top 10 or anything but if ur looking for a filler book to fill in the time between series. this would be a good series there short so ull get tnrough the, before ur other book comes out.
OMFG this book is epic from the first sentence it was hot sexy smut all the way through, amazing story line, explosive erotic scene's and they don't even have sex till the end WTF amazing foreplay all through who need's sex hay with Vane around lol. love the twilight references in there too just makes you chuckle so loving this series on to book 2 xxx

Started out really strong... but then it almost seemed like someone else wrote the ending. Still would be interested in following along with this "family", though!
Great start to the series, great characters and good action. Finished too quickly, but had the next one to head into. I was addicted already!
I give this book two stars because, story is ok but very short, in middle I start thinking is I am reading about shifters or just the sex story.
