This is a beautiful book of poetry. Ruth Rains knows how to raise many of the deep questions in life and spur us to reflect on them. She does this with a lovely grace, style and depth that brings hope to my heart. She also does it by teaming up with friend Jana M. Mason whose pen and ink drawings of rock formations such as Stone Henge are themselves meditations of beauty. The drawings and the poems fit together in a subtle non-literal way that adds an additional dimension to both. I read the ...more
