1.5 stars, rounded up (and I feel I'm being too generous.)

My decision to rate and review "Scandal in the Wind" was a tough call. I genuinely enjoy KT Grant's popular review site (published and maintained under another name.) KT Grant has always been one of my favorite authors. I try to keep an unread and/or favorite book of her in my “To Read” pile to go to when I feel exhausted by the other books I have read. Sometimes it’s just nice to escape into a world where anything seems possible.

This isn’t exactly like that; nor is it her best work, but still a pleasant, quick read (which I always appreciate.) Grant never writes frivolous elements into her stories, and while this one took me around the bend and back, I shou

Historical romance set after the Civil War. Beau thinks his wife has been unfaithful so he leaves her. With nowhere to go she is taken in by a brothel owner. Each is attracted to the other but afraid to do anything about it at first. Good taste of the time period. Lots of combinations. A few story lines that worked well together.
