Едва ли някой би помислил Захарий Стоянов за добър стилист. Също така, структурата на "Записките..." е по-скоро спонтанна, отколкото обмислена; а на автора липсва мащабният исторически поглед, който да ни представи гората, а не дърветата.

The best memoirs book for the Bulgarian liberation from Ottoman Empire yoke. Written by prominent Bulgarian revolutionary Zaharii Stoyanov the book is recognized as the best account of the Bulgarians fights and uprising against Ottoma rule.
