Do you know that feeling when you have just finished a book you adored but you just can't figure out how to express that on your review? Well that's exactly what happened to me but I'll do my best to try to explain it to you all.

This was my favorite book from this author, I even liked it more than the Chicago stars series and I already had adored that series, I gave 5 stars to most of the books in it. But it was so different this time. I couldn't put the book down, that's how FREAKING amazing it
5,000 CIRCUS STARS!!!!!!

You HAVE to read this book!!! Please. I’m begging you, fellow readers.

This is not your typical story. This is not your typical book. This is a story that you have never read….trust me. It is anything BUT typical.

Love the idea of a black and white photo of vintage circus tents

The story begins with an arranged marriage. No, it’s not set in the medieval times. It’s a modern arranged marriage. Say what?! I know. It seems off-putting at first. But we quickly get to know Alex and Daisy, and the reason for the arranged marriage takes an app

Kiss an Angel was my first Susan Elizabeth Phillips book and it may be my last. I am usually pretty easy to please when it comes to what I choose to read. I don’t often dislike books that I read. Further, I really hate it when a book rubs me the wrong way. Alas, that is what happened with this book. I did not connect with either the hero or the heroine and I came away from reading the story not liking either character very much. I realize that I am in the minority when it comes to my opinion reg

4 1/2 Fun time Stars!! I didn't just love this book; I'm in love with it!!

Admittedly when I started to read this I thought this was not going to work for me. Boy was I ever wrong!!! Even with the over-the-top unrealistic circumstances that surrounded the characters, this book STOLE MY HEART!! Daisy, oh my goodness, talk about wearing your heart on your sleeve, she did everything… everything out of love!! She was one of the sweetest, kindest, most determined

OMG...i cant even...this love story just blew me away.....

KISS AN ANGEL is a beautiful love story that revolves around two broken & lone souls, both vulnerable and lost in their own ways...

honestly speaking, this book surprised me in more ways than one...i mean with its chic-lite cover, and subtle plot with normal summary..i had absolutely no idea what how emotional this book really was until i way halfway to its end....

the characters in the book seemed so strong,i couldn't help but admire t

Daisy has finally pushed her dad to his breaking point. Spending all her deceased mother’s money and racking up debt has lead her father to give her one last chance. This last chance involves marrying a stranger and staying “happily” married to him for 6 months which after her time is up she can divorce him and collect a trust fund. Sounds easy enough?!?!

Alex is a strict Russian who has agreed to marry Daisy because of a debt he owes her father. To break Daisy

It's official! I'm hooked! I'm the newest SEPPIE Fan Girl!

I loved this story! Alex and Daisy are all kinds of amazing. I laughed, I sobbed, I sighed, I fanned myself...

My only problem with the story is that it ended.

Thank you to my lovely friends whose ravings made read this author. What do I read next???

5 Glimmering Huge Stars - Amazing, wonderful, sentimental, romantic... just the best kind of romance - simply a story that must be read - and now belongs to my top shelf

I'm in love! In love... In this wonderful story. Therefore, this is an exuberant, completely one-sided tribute review and must be read with an ounce of sanity. Because I never want to stop and will say again and again in different ways how much I love this book. Please be patient!!

5++++ Stars Contemporary Romance

This is the third time I have read this book, and I would have to say that the story of Alex and Daisy never gets old. Its a beautiful love story with a strong cast of characters, each playing a vital role to make this story a worthwhile read.

Alex Markov was rescued by Daisy’s father Max when he was twelve years old from the constant physical abuse he was facing under his uncle Sergey. Max had bought Alex from his uncle and seen to his education. Alex had shaped
Lady Heather

I finished this book late last night because:

a) I couldn't put it down, and
b) I had to see if Alex would finally redeem himself after being such a selfish shit!

... needless to say that all is well in the land of HEA's, and I was finally able to sleep after a rather gut-wretching, nerve-wracking, nail-biting reading experience...*yay*.. just the type of book I needed to read!

I don't think the author could have written a more despicable, cold, and hateful character. Alex Markov was so wrapped up
6 stars!!!

After reading Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ book “It Had to Be You,” I just had to pick up another book from Susan Elizabeth Phillips! The next book I ended up picking up from her was “Kiss An Angel” and after hearing so many good reviews on this book, I just had to give this book a shot! Oh my goodness, I was definitely blown away by this fantastic romance novel that will make me view the circus as a magical adventure of a lifetime!

This is a difficult review to write because there wasn't anything necessarily wrong with this book, it just didn't wow me like other CR. The circus background was different and nice for a change, the story of finding love in the least likely of places and discovering your life was always meant for bigger things was sweet too.

I liked Alex, and not just because he was an asshole. Let me clarify: I don't like assholes by default. The typical jerk-type assholes who are dicks j

This is the kind of book to read, when you feel down and murderous and bitter and depressed.

This is the kind of book to read, if you are a hopeless romantic who believes that love has the power to redeem people.

This is the kind of book to read, if you're not a romantic person, find most of the love songs and romantic comedies disturbing and annoying and yet need to put all your negativity aside for a few hours and let the illusion of love conquering all cloud your

To sum it up: Pretty, flighty Daisy Devreaux can either go to jail or marry the mystery man her father has chosen for her. Arranged marriages don't happen in the modern world, so how did the irrepressible Daisy find herself in this fix? ...Alex Markov, as humorless as he is deadly handsome, has no intention of playing the loving bridegroom to a spoiled little featherhead with champagne tastes. He drags Daisy form her uptown life to a broken down traveling circus and sets out to tame her to his w ...more
Update: Anna Field's audio performance was good, but the book is even better when read.
With a large dollop of speculative Russian history and paranormal woo-woo, this romance is absurdly improbable, contrived, and full of typos. At least a dozen, in kindle version. But I loved it. :-) The author pulled on my emotions big time. I could almost feel the fishing line. Plus, it's dated and stereotyped, and Alex is a heel at least 50% of the time.

But, I am hooked! Great grovel scene, lots of sizzle,
Love this one! Re-read for the "umpteenth" time. Probably my favorite book ever.

Holy cow. That was good. Really good. I went through tons of emotions reading this and even shed some tears. Both Daisy and Alex took some time for me to like. Daisy seemed pretty naive and tad needy. Alex was a jerk and stubborn to boot. But as the story went on, each of them slowly began to change. They provoked each other, chipping away at each other's flaws. By the end of the story, you wanted nothing more than their HEA. I LOVED it!

However, there were some parts of the book that
Heroine: Daisy Devreaux – dark-haired, 26yr old virgin, saving herself for marriage, scared of animals, grew up with her party-girl former model mother

Hero: Alex Markov – dark-haired, mid-thirties, comes from a famous lineage of Russian circus performers, temporarily manages a circus, performs with whips, dominant alpha male

Set-up: A warrant is issued for Daisy’s arrest due to her overspending after her mother’s death. Her father, Max Petroff, steps in with an ultimatum: marry a man of his choos
I bought this book for $1.99 yesterday from Barnes & Noble. I want my money back. Or at least the hours I spent reading it.

When I bought the book, I couldn't see the summary of the text, as BN was displaying information about a book by Eloisa James. However, having worked in a bookstore, I know how popular Phillips is, and I decided to give her a chance even though I had no idea what the book was about. Big mistake.

Daisy Deveraux is the spoiled (and illegitimate) daughter of a former model a
Daisy Devreaux had forgotten her bridegroom's name.

"I, Theodosia, take thee ..."

Seriously, how many brides have you heard, forgotten their husband-to-be's name??

Daisy had two choices. Being a bastard child, her father didn’t give her much. Either she marry this Russian studmuffin beside her, or go to prison?

After much contemplation, the Russian studmuffin, also known as Alexander Markov, would be a better choice, since her father wouldn’t deliberately put her in harm’s way.

But he did.

Contemporary romances are a fairly new genre for me but the few that i've read i have loved and this one was no exception! For some reason i went into this book thinking it was going to be somewhat historical because it was about an arranged marriage and circus life...much to my surprise it was very much set in modern day times! It started off a little bit weird..because of the whole arranged marriage thing...but i was eventually sucked in and i ended up loving the story. The daily grind of the ...more
Cute and fun story about a ditzy girl being forced by her dad to marry a circus performer (it's not that simple, of course). I actually thought the H's act was pretty hot (whips!). The h came from a priviledged background, so there was the comedy of watching her adjust. Although she was ditzy, she wasn't really dumb...definitely likable. There were some scenes that stretched the imagination but the story wouldn't have been the same without them. There's an evil OW and lots of angst thrown in, es ...more
I REALLY liked this book. As I mentioned in my status update, this book was exactly what I was looking for— it was light & funny, but it also had enough substance & conflict to keep me engaged. I had reached my weekly quota for "stupid heroines," & thankfully, the heroine in this novel— Daisy— was one of the best heroines that I've come across in quite some time.

Daisy was noble, principled & compassionate. Despite growing up in affluence, she did not have an easy life. She was t

I'm glad I gave Susan Elizabeth Phillips another chance after all - at least for this book. After a relatively slow beginning Kiss an Angel got to be quite good after all. It was actually very nice to read this after reading Perfect by Judith McNaught and going on a six-day rollercoaster ride of a hundred thousand emotions. Light-hearted was definitely what I needed and what I got with Kiss an Angel. Daisy was extraordinarily likeable despite the author's introduction of her as a spoilt feather ...more

Me declaro orgullosamente “forever sentimental”. Cuando termine el libro no tuve la menor duda de que se convertiría en uno de mis favoritos. Si amas el romance no dudes en leerte este libro, no te arrepentirás.

I get that Kiss an Angel is a highly unlikely not to a mention a tad ridiculous at times, and while I am typically a logical person, there is something about Kiss an Angel that just hit my sweet spot.

What a perfectly delicious book!

Kiss an Angel really truly surprised me. Funny enough a lot of my GR friends have read this book, but didn't leave a review so even though I've read the blurb I guess I just didn't realize what this book truly entailed.
What I found was something quite sexy with a few hidden gems inside. A mysterious heritage, a different kind of circus life and some soul talking to animals with two main characters that will steal your heart
