Ugh that was so frustrating! That story was really good! I mean really good!!! I was quite happily just reading away and then I was like, woah! What the hell just happened? It completely took me by surprise and drew me straight in. It's only a short story, about twenty pages long. But I was flying through it! I needed to know what happened! I needed to find out how it was going to end!

Then it just stopped. No answers, no real ending, it just sort of stopped. I feel used. I feel teased. This isn'

This short story didn't end up anywhere near where I thought it would. I was suckered in so quickly. I loved it. What a talent Joe Hill is!

Wyatt is likable and sympathetic enough that when he encounters something ...more

A short-tempered young man comes across the car of an old classmate on the side of the road. Inside is the woman and her two children, and one of the children is bleeding to death. And she's holding the knife. She claims it was wrested from the attacker, but nothing feels right about the scene.

Not bad. I wasn't really drawn to it (maybe I would ha

This is one of those stories I needed to be a little longer. I'm not sure how this was going to end. He was being set up for the perfect fall and I really hope he made it out.
