FBI Special Agent Pilar Campos lives and works in a man’s world. She loves her job because the only interaction she has with people is pointing her gun at them and arresting them. She’s a smart ass with a temper and is not above breaking bones if someone disagrees with her. Needless to say, she doesn’t have many friends. "How To Tame A Raging Bull"
The women that Author Sandy Wolters writes into her stories are powerful, fearful, but also tender and loving. The characters are all well defined and one becomes as if one is standing a midst them as one reads the story. Agent Pilar Campos and her FBI partner are tasked to monitor the Snowflake Militia group that tries to rob a bank. In the chaos that develops a security guard is killed, and Pilar shoots and kills the brother of the militant group leader. The FBI real...more

This is the third book I have read by Sandy and I'm here to tell ya it's just as good as the first two. Without going into the details of the book I'm going to address her style.

Sandy has an excellent way of developing her characters to the point the reader is thrust into the scenes becoming completely immersed. Her trait of inventing short, petite, firebrand females is amazing. All of her gals are true "show stoppers," but men, beware. There bite is definitely worse then their bark. Men are con...more

This book had a promising start. A bank robber is shot dead by FBI Special Agent, Pilar Campos. The dead man's brother, Boone, vows the ultimate revenge – her death: a life for a life. She is then forced into hiding until such time her safety can be guaranteed. Her boss decides that the ranch belonging to her working partner's brother, Amos, would be the perfect hideout, but Pilar is, independent, argumentative, feisty and not always compliant and somewhat irregular methods have to be adopted in...more

When Special Agent Rick Thomas is cornered into keeping his partner Pilar in the dark about a contract on her life by FBI Deputy Director Greg Olsen and Pilar’s brother, Special Agent Matthew Campos, he knows that all hell will eventually break loose. It doesn’t matter that Pilar is the target of the Snowflake Militia Group’s leader, Thorne Baker; Rick’s pretty sure that either his brother Amos, who he discovers has inexplicably agreed to let Pilar stay at his ranch undercover, or Pilar will kil...more

Funny, romantic and suspenseful!. I really loved it! A Brother's Love had everything that I liked about reading in it. The fly swatter was classic.

Good story. I found Pilar's talent with the animals to be a little over the top, but not so much that it took away from enjoying the story. If you like cowboys and romance, this is one you won't want to pass up.

I’ve been an avid reader for years. To my husband’s dismay, I have bookshelves full of books, rooms full of books, boxes full of books. My cars have books in them. I just can’t seem to get rid of them after I read them. You just never know when you will want to read it again, right?

About two years ago, my husband gave me the dream gift, a Kindle. It was love at first sight and my first foray into...more
