Lucky isn't so lucky...at least that is what I thought at the beginning of this first person narrative. He has been rescued, or perhaps captured would be a better word for it, by the military, after getting attacked by a zombie. I find myself torn by this book. As a rule, I do not read or enjoy Horror stories. That being said, I found this novel to be a fascinating read with a good mix of fast action and slowed down suspense that made it a joy to continue. Only the Horror ending that has left me feeling disturbed and on edge keeps me from giving this a full 5 stars.
