The Call from Within is book 1 in the Dearhart Clan series. I received a copy in exchange for my review as a part of this blog tour.

Alpha wolf Owen has resigned himself to a life without love, believing that that is his fate as a werewolf. But one day he encounters Kristen working at the diner and is immediately attracted to him, a feeling that is mutual due to the imprinting bond that all wolves develop when they meet their mate. Owe

This is an intense erotic read. The writing is vivid to say the least and it drew me into the story very quickly. The author has created a chemistry between the characters that affects the reader. But like all good things, the story was over quickly leaving me wanting for more. Looking forward to the next book. Highly recommended.

The Call From Within is the first book in Author Eri Nelson’s passionate and thrilling Dearhart Clan series, telling the story of waitress Kristen and werewolf Owen.

The story begins with Owen, looking back on his history and what led him to the diner where he caught the eye of Kristen, who he immediately recognizes as his mate – the fateful love he was giving up on finding. Filled with an uncontrollable urge to ensure her safety, he follows her home, and thankfully so as Kristen’s ex, a Shapeshi

I finished reading The Call from Within by Eri Nelson today, in one sitting. I’m going to come clean before I write this review - I bought the book, simply because I became friends with the author via the Social Media, and I have huge admiration towards her as a person and as a fellow author.

My second confession for today - I have never read a single book on werewolves in my whole life, provided that you don’t count Jack London’s White Fang. The latter was about a wolf dog, so I guess there is

It is not in my nature, but if I was more exuberant this review would be started with a WOW! But so, I will try to tell you what I liked.

The first volume presents mainly the formation of a couple and seems to be the typical Paranormal Romance / Urban Fantasy story. But it will earn a much greater value and importance since it is the one that provides the motivations, explanations and opens the path for the stories which are to come in the next books. That's because each volume will continue the

This is the first book that I have read by Eri Nelson and I can safely say I want, no, need to read more. Thankfully there is a second book in the Dearhart Clan series; one I have been told is better than The Call From Within; although how that is possible beats me! I will have to read it and find out!

The first book in the Dearhart Series introduces us to rival Werewolves Owen and Wash, a group of shapeshifters lead by Brinston and K

Today's review is on The Call Within by Erin Nelson

The Call Within is a relatively short paranormal romance with a side order or eroticism so parents beware. It is well written and edited with just a few grammatical errors. (Again I stress the need to have your work checked and double checked.) My only complaint is that the book is just to short. For me anything below at least 300 pages is a magazine article. However, I can not judge a work of art solely because I feel it is to short.

At first glance, I readied myself for what I thought was going to be yet another venture into Twilight-like romance gag-fiction. I had resolved myself to reading it, and being honest and polite, having taken a strong stance against the sparkly vampires and their pseudo- sexual furry werewolves.

After the first chapter, I found myself pleasantly surprised that my first impression was in fact very wrong.

The tale may be short topping off at a mere sixty-eight pages, but what it lacks in length is m

This book was fast and furious style with its fast paced with hectic action scenes, plus steamy and on the edge moments! It's been a while since I read a really intense paranormal / erotica / romance novel and the author Eri Nelson has found in me, the perfect admirer of her talent and her writing style. This was the ultimate and literally, an exciting hell of a ride!

In this quick novel we meet Dearhart, the leader of his pack. His specie is somehow in an extinguishing mode since female are rare

This is the first book of this series and I'm so excited about it! I love werewolves, so I of course loved this one. There's lots of romance... Um, it is erotic, so for the big girls only. But, it's still got mystery and and action, and plenty of things to come. In this book, you learn a little bit about the alpha, and his mate, and how their pack, or clan, was formed. You also learn some crazy things about the bad guys. :) This book isn't very long, so it could easily be read in a short sitting ...more

If you are looking for a quick read with intensity that has a paranormal twist and lots of sexual tension, then The Call from Within could be the one for you. In this story, a werewolf finds his mate but he has to be careful letting her know. He could scare her away, but another one who wants to claim her pushes his timetable up. Now he has to practically take her away to save her and to show her she belongs to him. Time is not on his side.

I have to say that this is an extremely fast-pace

I just finished this book and it's amazing. I read many books about werewolves and I thought that I knew all that can be knew about this species, but reading this book I find something different: when a werewolf finds his mate, they're not just imprinted, they are lovers.

Eri told me that she has an unorthodox style, but all what I found in her style was passion and love between to persons that were meant to be together.

Actually, I never felt this way while I was reading the book. It was just lik

Eri Nelson's Dearhart Clan series begins with the meeting of Owen and Kristen. A very quick, action packed, explosive mating of a werewolf and his emerging mate. Alpha Owen finds his rare mate in the unsuspecting Kristen and a bit of trouble from Washington, a former and current nemesis. What they don't know is it's going to be a bumpy ride. I enjoyed this story from the beginning. It was a fast read that was over all too quick.

I recommend this book to all that loved the Mercy Thompson story. Because it had that same possessive vibe 'MINE' from those books.

The speech was of a century's old southern gentlemen. It didn't take long to get used to it.

Yes I want to read more on the DearHart Clan.

The Call From Within – Dearhart Clan Series by Eri Nelson is a wonderful novella to be introduced into the world of Werewolves and Shapeshifters. I was taken in right from the start and found the animal flow of Owen, the main character, as he by chance meets his imprinted mate, Kristen, compelling.

Owen is drawn to Kristen and his incredible hunger and need can be felt in the artistic words of the author. Owen is driven by his need to continue the Dearhart clan and he will do anything to have an

I love the concept of the story. It’s not shallow and you can easily get attached to the story and the characters. I love how the story was build and the concept of the wolves in the story is good.
The characters, I love how the characters (Owen and Kristen) are easy to relate and like. They are not, what you call boring. I love the build-up of the feelings of the characters for each other. I can easily get attached to their story.
The story, I love how the story flow.

The Call From Within
Eri Nelson

The Dearheart Clan battles for existence due to the rarity of females ever surviving the excruciating transformation from were to wolf. There is hope for the Dearhearts when Owen, leader of the clan, walks into a diner for breakfast but discovers it will take more than food to satisfy his insatiable appetite. Kristen walks over to take his order when her scent alone sends him into a thirst for physical love he has never experienced…imprinting.

I was gifted this book for an honest review. Thank You!

Owen spots Kristen and starts following her. They are werewolves and she is his chosen mate. The werewolf pack is endangered and Owen needs Kristen to be welcomed into her werewolf nature and continue his species. A violent shapeshifter also is interested in Kristen. This is a really quick, racy, read. “Tell me how bad you want me. How I am the only one who can make you feel this way. Tell me you’re mine.” The paranormal turf war going on ma

Eri Nelson has created a fascinating, and titillating, world with the first book of the Dearhart Clan series. From the moment Kristen and Owen meet, her world is forever changed...

After meeting the perfect man (-wolf), poor Kristen is dragged into a world she never imagined possible. Werewolves are and Owen's not the only one after her. With her life, and the Dearhart Clan's future, on the linne, The Call From Within sets up the highly suspenseful journey of two star-crossed love-at-first sights

The opening paragraph very much sets the tone and gives the reader a good taste of what’s to come. There is a lot of talk about something that the average person knows nothing about and which the author doesn’t bother to explain. Said paragraph then ends with a phrase that even the most cringe-worthy and shame-free erotica author would be horrified by. I was left with the need to wash myself in scalding water by the end of the book to wash away the abomination which the author called a story.

Lots of action and adventure. A little short, but only because there's none of those boring down moments when characters contemplate the obvious, testing our restraint to skim. Similar in some aspects to the Sookie Stackhouse series (i.e. the books True blood are based on which are SOO much better than the show)except where Charlaine Harris has curved off the path of Can't-Put-Book-Down-Ever paranormal romance in recent editions, Eri has reforged the trail and given us something else to look for ...more

It was a great book, but a little bit shorter than what I'm used to. It simply doesn't have all the fillers that most books have. Its a quick read, but a book that's hard to put down. It would be a great book for anyone who enjoys the paranormal romance genre. Its on the darker side, and full of action and romance. The cover art is gorgeous and the book is well written. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

It is mysterious and raunchy, packed full of action, and the characters are interesting and full of life (and Owen is a total babe).

This is more than just your average werewolf story and I cant wait to see what lies ahead for Owen and Kristen and the rest of The Dearhart Clan.

I really enjoyed this fast paced, sexy little novella.
I was left short of breath and wanting more. More, more, more!!

The Call From Within may be short but it manages to get the adrenaline flowing and the carnal urges pumping within the first few pages and maintains the high until the end. I found that Eri Nelson tried to weave a few too many characters and side plotlines into a novella. The foundation is there but I just thought that it was a little much for something so brief. This tale definitely has the potential to have been or become a full length story. However, for its purposes, it’s my opinion that Nel ...more
