This was a good short story and has me interested in the rest of the Diary of the Displaced series. However, I'm not a big fan of this type of "diary" writing style. If the novels in the series are written the same way, I think I would have a tough time getting through them. In a short story format, it worked well.
But, zombie lovers be forewarned -- this isn't your typical zombie gore fest.

Quite a sad story about a survivor from a world which is attacked from the dark horde, who tells her story to a lover.
I won't give away the ending but Glynn James once again has written a fantastic piece of work, and a great addition to his growing number of books.

Whispers of the displaced is the perfect compilation to Diary of the Displaced. Each short story gives you a brief glimpse of the behind the story material. It is a great quick read.
I'd rather have a sequel to Diary of the Displaced and know what happens to James and the gang. However, it was quite interesting.

Glynn is a writer of Dark Sci-fi and Horror novels, born in Wellingborough, England, in 1972. He hasn't managed to escape from there yet.
