I'm sorry, but about 50 pages from the end I've just lost all hope of finishing this book. This story employs a lot of characters, and I cannot keep them all straight. Have we seen this character before? Or is this their first appearance? I have no idea. The main character already seems to know everyone, so his responses aren't very helpful in that respect.

Each night when I came back to the book, I had to reread previous pages and even that didn't always ease my confusion. Around page 280, there...more

I received this book as a first-reads giveaway. The writing of this story was a bit disconnected for me. The story would be progressing and then it would jump to something else as if everything had been explained but it hadn't and it caused the story to feel confusing to me and I could not figure out why this was done.
