DEEP DISCLOSURE written by Dee Davis
Book #4 in the A-Tac Series
09/11 - Grand Central Publishing - Mass Market Paperback, 368 pages

If no one knows me, do I still matter to someone?

Living your life hiding in plain sight was stressful and draining for Alexis Markham but she had it perfected after all these years. She had been running from someone, who lurked somewhere, trying to get back something she has, and yet knows nothing about. Alexis only knows one fact everyone in her life that she has eve...more

My opinion:
WONDERFUL! As soon as I had my hands on this book I was drawn to it so much that it didn’t even last in the TBR pile. I had to discover this author… I can sound strange because I’m usually not listening to my instinct that much especially since this title is in fact the fourth in the series and I ‘m more the reading in order kind of reader.

Really, yes having read precedent books could have been great as this one kin...more

My friend won this book on goodreads and shared it with me. This was the first time I had read anything by Dee Davis, I thought she wrote a good mystery and will read her again......Peggy
Overall thought: While I found my thoughts wandering from time-to-time, I still found Deep Disclosure to be a very satisfying read and a true reminder of why I find romantic suspense to be one of my favorite genres.

My thoughts: From page one Ms. Davis draws the reader in with action and just when things begin to lull there is a well placed action-scene. She is a master at this. I enjoyed Deep Disclosure and getting to know Alexis and Tucker and seeing members of the A-TAC team. You don't need to...more

***original review posted at Romancing Rakes***

From a sleepy little town in California to the plains of West Texas to a bank in New Orleans to a cabin near South Fork to an office of a man bent on finding the formula for aerosolizing biotoxins in Montreal to a liberal arts college that is a front for A-Tac in New York, I was taken through a dangerous high octane adventure of flying bullets at every turn, buildings getting blown up worthy of a Michael Bay production, betrayal, attraction, adrenal...more
Davis's Deep Disclosure was an exciting read that I was lucky enough to win through Goodreads. It was the first book that I read by Davis, and I really enjoyed it. Deep Disclosure is part of Davis's A-Tac series and while it would have been nice to have read the other books in the series first I was able to follow what was going on just by reading this book. Alexis Markam, the female lead, is unfamiliar with the A-Tac team as well so the reader is able to get an introduction to this convert grou...more
Deep Disclosure is by far the best book in this series. It even surpasses Annie and Nash's story and I didn't think that was possible.

I've always admired the author's amazing attention to detail and I think she's truly outdone herself in this book. The plot is thought out in detail and amazingly well written. It's fast paced and there's not a dull moment anywhere in this book. The book is action packed to the maximum and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

The romance between Tu...more
Another great A-Tac book.

High Octane Action
She didn't know what a normal life was, being born while her family was on the run after her father's job with a top secret government project long ago blew up in his face. Alexis Markham, of course not her real name, has lived a lifetime in the shadows, staying as far off the grid as possible. Especially after that night when she was seventeen, the night her family's house blew up with her parents and older brother inside. She's been on her own ever since, her only connection...more
My review is cross-posted courtesy of Wit and Sin:

After his release from a Columbian prison, black ops agent Tucker Flynn took to the quiet life. Just when things are about to get boring, an explosion in a local coffee shop leads him to cross paths with Alexis Markham. Years ago, Alexis’s father developed a biochemical weapon and Alexis’s entire family was murdered to keep that formula a secret. Now Tucker must protect her, without disclosing his true ide...more

Alexis Markham has spent the last decade running from her father's secret. Once a scientist for the government, her father developed a biological weapon. Then his team was killed, and he took his family into hiding. Alexis was the only one who survived when the government found them. And now, it seems they've found her again. Tucker Flynn is in charge of protecting and secretly investigating her as a member of A-Tac (an elite CIA unit masquerading as Ivy league college faculty). He has his own p...more
Alexis has been in hiding her whole life. Her family died in an explosion when she was in high school and ever since then she only has her father’s friend, George, to rely on. Alexis goes home to get her belongings before she goes on the run once again; and there she meets a man who tries to kill her. She...more
Loves To Dive
Tucker Flynn is taking a much needed break from the CIA, living a peaceful if dull life in small town California, when one morning his favorite coffee spot is literally blown up right under him. Alexis Markham has been on the run all her life, her Uncle George, fresh from prison asks to meet her, they argue and she leaves in a snit. Just after she leaves, the coffee spot they were meeting in blows up, killing Uncle George. Tucker noticed the meeting between Alexis and George, was intrigued by Al...more

How I got this book: NetGalley

When I first read the short novella from Davis in her A-Tac series, I knew this would become another suspense author to watch out for. I went out and bought the first two books in the series, and although I haven’t been able to read them yet, I immediately jumped on the chance to read Deep Disclosure.

Tucker is trying to adjust to a normal life, but when he is witness...more

Ahh the long awaited book of Tucker's story... And this book not only starts out with one bang but two.. Our heroine Alexis as a teenager witnessed her home with her family in it being blown up. She goes off the grid for 13 years with the help of a family friend. Tucker is now living in the town he and Drake grew up in basically bored out of his mind but at loose ends with his life since his rescue. He is sitting in a coffee shop when Alexis comes in to meet with the man that helped her as a chi...more
The usual action book with a bit of romance. Honestly, the idea itself isn't original, I didn't like the writing and it seemed too long or maybe too slow.
I don't know why I picked up this book. I'd read it on my phone in epub format, I didn't check out about what it is or even if it's first in series. Guess I shouldn't have done that, because actually this book is very predictable, with a "meh" plot, but I think with a strong female character (at least she isn't a fucking coward, saved her bf, l...more

This is the 5th book in the A-Tac series. I am not sure how Ms. Davis can top this one. The book has it all. Bad guys coming from each direction, even so far as to kill each other, you have a formula that everyone wants, but no one knows where it is. There is an amazing love story that seems so fragile yet so meant to be. Then you have all of the A-Tac players back and helping keep justice, still reeling from their own betrayal. When I first started reading, I was SURE I knew who done it, but I...more
Another great adventure series that I couldn't put down.
Another good read in the A-Tac series. The only complaint I have is that this series seems to follow a formula. Good guy with baggage works for A-Tac. Girl with questionable motives is in trouble. Guy falls for girl and saves her from trouble. It's not a bad formula and works in the novels in this series, but sometimes it becomes tedious when reading the entire series all in a row.
I won a copy of this book through Goodreads.

I like adventure tales, but the combined romance/suspense doesn't really interest me. That being said, if I skimmed past the steamy bits, I enjoyed the non-bedroom action quite a bit. This wasn't a bad read, but I probably won't seek out more in this genre or in this series. I think this will appeal to my wife more than it did to me.
This wasn't the best of the A-Tac series but it was okay. I was a little annoyed by Alexis' obliviousness and her need to be saved all the time but other than that it was a decent read.
Yeah for Harrison getting out into the field. I know this was supposed to be Tucker's book and it was but I loved Harrison.
This series is definitely getting better and for the first time I didn't feel the need to smack some sense into the heroine! Alexis seemed just as annoyed by people too stupid to live as I am and had honest to God common sense.
The latest A-Tac romantic suspense (see Desperate Deeds, Dangerous Desires and Dark Deceptions) is a deadly delightful CIA thriller in which the heroine's secret as well as who wants her dead make for a compelling tale. The story line is action-packed from the first fire until the fiery finish as the engaging romance supports the intrigue
3.5/5 - Enjoyable, nice relationship between Tucker and Alexis. It's been so long between books, I had a hard time remember who was who, and what their stories were. (bad memory and too many other rom/sus stories in between!)

But overall I liked their story and I'm really drawn to Harrison...good thing because he's up next!
I really enjoyed this book! If you enjoy suspenseful, government cover-up type books with a little romance thrown in, then this is the book for you! It was a page turner! I would read it before bed each night, and every morning, I couldn't wait to get up and ready for my day so I could read some more! I highly recommend it!
This was an ok read for me. I enjoyed the romantic aspects of the story but found my mind wandering at times throughout the rest. I maybe would have enjoyed it more if I had read the rest of the series, but this was the first I had read.
I enjoyed this story right until the end which totally infuriated me. What a forced and nonsense resolution! Sadly it really spoiled the story for me :-(
