Alison Bennett came to Desire, Oklahoma to hide-and to heal. When her truck breaks down on the way into town, she certainly doesn't expect men like Dillon Tanner and Ryder Hayes to come to her rescue. Extraordinary men in an extraordinary town. Their interest in her both excites and alarms her, but she knows they're both way out of her league.

Ahh its good to be back in Desire.. Were we get to see Ace right off the bat in sheriff duties and Boone, Chase and Rachel with the baby. This ones about Dillon and Ryder - the mechanic's in Desire and who we met in the first book.. Alison just got out of a abusive relationship and is coming to Desire for a seminar on how to please a man.. Ok as a woman I had a little issue with that. She is scared of strong brash men due to her crappy ex and she wants to learn how to please a man so they cant w...more

I love Leah Brooke but the sixth installment of the Desire, OK series was not my favorite. The herione is Allison Bennett with Ryder and Dillon as her men. I have loved every man so far in Desire and if I don't like the book then its usually the woman's fault. This is the case for Raw Desire.

I didn't understand why Allison or "Ally" affectionatly named by Ryder and Dillon, wanted to participate in these seminars in the first place. I think what happened was Brooke had to find some way to get Al...more

Alison breaks down on the road into Desire, OK with a painful past and an even more broken spirit. In Desire, she hopes for a haven in which to recoup, time to make a plan, and a chance to rebuild her self-esteem. She gets all that plus more than she bargains for when she catches the eye of garage owners and best friends, Dillon Tanner and Ryder Hayes.

Life in Desire is far from typical small town, USA. Thanks to a prequel to the curr...more

I really struggled with what to rate this book... I ended up giving it a 2 Stars due to my inability to like Allison. For some reason she just constantly annoyed me and I just couldn't bring myself to relate to or sympathize with her. While, Ryder and Dillion may not be my favorite male characters, I at least could appreciate their personalities and sexiness!

Raw Desire seemed to be a little too long, but it was definitely filled with a lot of steamy sex. Unfortunately, Allison's personality and...more

Another "home run" of a novel from an author that just keeps her readers delighted with one after another of these Desire, OK stories. While Ms Brooke manages to keep the crisis alive in all her books, there is the added tension in this one of a whole lot of trouble caused by the abuse and lies of the heroine's ex-boyfriend--a young man who wants to live as he chooses without regard to anhyone else in his life and whose selfish ways have cause not only emotional and psychological injury to Allis...more

Raw Desire by Leah Brooke

I gave this story 2.5 stars. I read this series back to back and that can be a good thing and a bad thing in some ways.

Good
I remembered all the characters, their personalities and stories. This became a world fully flushed out in my mind. There was no need to go back to previous books to familiarize myself with the past doings. Each new story also showed glimpses of past characters and showed me how they are doing in their lives.

Bad
The scenes seemed repetitive but with...more

I really like the concept of these books, the town of Desire, and the way they live their lives. Boy, wish it were a real town, I'd go visit and hopefully stay.

With this one I had a bit of trouble even liking the h. I found her to be quite annoying and a bit of a skitzoid. I do like this author normally, but I don't think she's got the feisty h down pat, she struggles with that as her hs can come across as quite unlikeable at times. It's happened in previous books. The author tends to make you...more

I love Brooke's body of work but have to admit, I didn't care for this book. I found that to often scenes were repeated. In fact if she told Dillon and Ryder one more time that it wasn't their business I would have slapped the author. I understand that the author wanted us to feel that Alison felt over powered by these two men, but between the "it's none of your business" and the "I'm going back to the hotel" it was starting to feel like word filler. She could have taken those lines out and made...more

Raw Desire was slow going in the beginning of the book. The guys pissed me off for acting like cavemen. I can't stand a man who acts like a woman has no other choice then to do what they say. Don't get me wrong, That can be HOT AFTER it is agreed to. I was also annoyed with Alison for just sitting there and taking it.

As the story development really got rolling I did start to truly LOVE this book. Dillon and his sweet love and compassion and rough around the edges playboy Ryder both made for som...more

OMG, this was so good and so bad. The beginning drove me nuts. I swear if she said "None of your business" one more time I was going to slap her myself. And the discord between the two guys drove me batty. I wish they had talked a little more or something. But I think the main reason I didn't give it four stars was the main girl drove me bonkers from the beginning. I'm sorry, but make up your mind girl. The end was amazing though and brought tears to my eyes. I love Leah Brooke, and I will conti...more

I really liked this erotic tale but thought it was just short of something missing from the story. But hey...I can't quite put my finger on what was missing.

I really enjoyed the courtroom scene more than some of the love scenes, it was interesting and moved fast, where as some of the love scenes seemed forced by the author.

I don't know, might be just me. I also enjoyed visiting the characters in the town and finding out about the things that were going on in their lives more intriguing than the...more

In a moment of weakness, Alison Bennett signed up for a week long seminar at Club Desire, wanting to try to build her self esteem back up after an ex-boyfriend did a number on her. Now on her way to Desire, Oklahoma she is second guessing herself and wondering if there really is a way to please a man and not have them cheat, leave, or treat you badly. When her car breaks down on the outskirts of town, she thinks maybe this is a sign she made a mistake.

Let me say that I have been a long time fan of Leah Brooke (aka Lana Dare). I have loved the Desire series both present and founding fathers and am slightly obsessed with this fictional town (if you’ve read them, you know why and if you haven’t, read them and find out). Since meeting Dillon and Ryder in book one, I’ve waited for their story. They just jumped off the page and screamed, “Just wait until it’s our turn.” Well, at least to me they di...more

This series just keeps getting better and better. I loved Dillon and Ryder. What I wouldn't give to find a pair of hot dominant males that were as loving and compassionate as these two. I love Desire and wish that there was a town that was this way I move in a heart beat. I also enjoyed seeing so many of the characters from prior books. It is nice to see how their lives are going. I had to laugh at Erin. She is like the spitfire. I would definitely recommend this entire series.

Desire was calling to me so I to re-read a few, now I'll end up reading them all again while I wait for Beau and Charity! There is something about Ryder and Dillon and Allison's reaction to them that is too real to be in a book. Dillon and Ryder magically expect Allison to fall into Desire's ways and get upset when she doesn't let them do everything for her. They seem to forget that she isn't from there and has had a really bad experience with not only men but small towns as well. They work it a...more

I was bored. Not even the hot sex kept me interested in what might happen to those three. I was glad to get a glimpse of previous heroes' lives though.
Now, I want to see more of the other characters shown in previous books. Still waiting for Blade's partners at the BDSM Club to get their own story. Why did Leah Brooke write this one about characters we've never seen before and don't give a damn about?

Raw Desire is the sixth book in a series by Leah Brooke that I have loved every single volume. However, on an enjoyment scale from hate to like to love I have to say this one falls into the like category, and the main reason is I just couldn’t wrap my head or my heart around the heroine.I loved the men and really wanted a better third for them.
This is more a plot driven novel than a character driven story, and for that reason I found myself reading quickly through some very scorching sex scenes...more

Loved loved loved this!!

My heart really went out to Ryder in this and loved how Dillon stepped aside at times to allow Ryder's and Alison's relationship to grow. Many times menage stories everyone just seems to fall into the relationship too easily but in this we see the work that goes into it and the understanding everyone must have.

Honestly, this one wasn't my favorite, and I think it's weaker than the other additions to the Desire series. My opinion is that the heroine spends too much time quite literally running out of rooms, buildings and situations to be truly credible.

Wow. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Holy hotness batman. This is by far one of my favorites from this series. It was a combination of the dominance I love (without straying too far out of my comfort zone) and the menage that I oh so love to read. There was a solid storyline, scorching hot sex, a sweet and romantic relationship and fabulous updates on all of my favorite characters from the series.

Whew.. I'm still fanning my face after this one. I almost want to read it again :)

I absolutley adored Dillon, Ryder, and Alison's story. I cried at a few parts and laughed hysterically at others. Can't wait for the next installment in the Desire, Oklahoma series.

I enjoyed the interaction among the main characters. Desire is an interesting town and I enjoy visiting it while reading these books.

Seriously, I know it is a fictional place, but I WANT to live in Desire.

Not as good as the ones before it. the main character was too whiny/judgemental for me.

Another great book in a great series! As someone else pointed out, I'd love Desire to be a real place! Dillon and Ryder meet Alison when they tow her truck into town. She is in town get her mojo back after a violent ending to a terrible relationship. How the three of them finds their HEA takes time but is well worth the read!
Colleen
Raw Desire is my favorite of the series! Dillon and Ryder found a nice balance between them and Alison. Alison was hiding out from an old abusive boyfriend in Desire. There was much to the plot of this book and yet still hot as heck love scenes. Ryder was very playful and fun. That really helped to temper Dillon's serious attitude.
