Best Badass Zombie Books..

http://badassbookreviews.com/the-best...

Fun, hot, erotica with zombies (ok "Steins" as in Frankensteins..loved the play on words). Of course I'd love it. Had a great twist for the storyline.

Another reviewer described this as "high tech zombies" and really, that is the perfect description. But, there is not only high tech zombies but also other high tech characters.

The sex scenes are hot, the story is fun, and the fact that there are zombies steins in...more

I have conflicted feelings about this book. I love this world and the concept but the romance made me uneasy. But let’s start with the good stuff.

I hate to use the word zombie, because so many people hear the “Z” word and run screaming the other way. In this world, the bad guys work for Synaviv, a company that takes dead people, and reanimates them. They program them with computers, and can make them learn as much or as little as they want. They do have certain needs to stay alive and they also...more

Lust after Death by Daisy Harris was my first book by this author and also my first Ellora’s Cave book. On both counts I can absolutely say that it will not be my last. Lust after Death comes in just under 100 pages so it is a relatively fast read, so if you read a lot you may find this a perfect choice for an in between books read. I loved this book and once I started it I could NOT put it down. (never a bad complaint)

Lust after Death follows Josie and Bane, Josie is a re-animated Bride while B...more

Oh, guys. OH, GUYS! I swear to you that this book was written expressly for me! There are zombie-type folk who fall in love and have dirty, dirty sex while being hunted down by a nefarious evil corporation. BLISS! Did I mention the part about the dirty sexin'? That was niiiiiice.

Bane and Josie have excellent chemistry. Even when he's trying to keep his distance, Bane is drawn to her. Her particular quirk (needing touch to survive) puts him in the position of getting very personal, very fast. And...more

This book is a very quick read which I enjoyed very much. To be honest I haven't read any books with Zombies as the main paranormal character and I found it quite refreshing and nice change a pace.

Bane is an assassin sent to rescue Josie and bring her to the Zombie Underground to be reprogrammed. Bane is my type of hero though I never thought a Zombie could be sexy but Daisy does a great job in convincing me Zombies can be. He is determined to be reprogrammed or reset until Josie finds his way...more

Josie is a newly made zombie – created to become a wife to a scientist named Adam. The zombies in this story are all programmed differently – depending on what characteristics the maker wants. I've never really been drawn to zombie books, but I really enjoyed this one. There was no gory brain-eating moments. Well, there was a meal involved, but it was briefly mentioned and we don't know exactly what was eaten. And probably don't want to know.

A sexy assassin named Bane shows up to rescue Josie fr...more

Lust After Death is probably the most unique paranormal type stories I've read. I'm not big on Zombies but this story had an interesting twist with the Zombie Underground. Oh and there's hot zombie sex too! Don't worry nothing falls off! Tee hee!

These aren't your typical Zombies though, they are Steins, as Harris calls them. The steins are brought back to life and are programed.

The two lead characters are steins, Bane is a killing stein, while Josie was programed to be a sort of blowup doll stei...more

Lust After Death was a shocking surprise! I loved it. I love zombie books. Up until this point I had only read bad, evil zombies. That is not what this is. Josie and Bane are both corpses that have been reanimated after their deaths and mentally reprogrammed for new purposes. Do you remember that movie Universal Soldier? Bane is totally working that angle of zombie. He’s an assassin, former military. He recovers newly made steins for an organization called Zombie Underground. Bane and a group o...more

Creatively Written and Awesome!

Daisy! Daisy! Daisy! You have cured me of thinking Zombies were all evil sickening creatures – LOL I am so glad I got over my fear of reading about Zombies because I would of never got to read this great book. You have created and invented a new type of Zombie World, a Zombie Unground World were science has gone above and beyond technology of bringing back the dead. Worlds where a scientist takes a dead body, rewires it, and puts in a computer chip with a new memo...more

Beyond watching Resident Evil movies, I never cared much for zombies. Lack of interest, really. I always felt that once you looked past the shuffling mob of flesh-eating corpses, there wasn't a whole lot of potential. A dead-end theme, if you'll forgive the pun. So I haven't been engaged with the latest trend of books, comics, and movies. Zombies are the new vampires, dontcha know.

Then I came across this title from Daisy Harris's "Love-Bots" series. It was a lark, really. Read it just so I can...more

Lust After Death is a novella written by Daisy Harris and is pumped full of action and sex.

Josie and Bane are electric. Their encounters are full of sexual tension in the first few acquaintances and then it becomes very lusty. Josie is a strong character and is a great match for Bane. She doesn’t let him push her around. Bane’s softer side comes out when he is around Josie. He is a protector first and a terminator second. I like their union and think they make for an undead couple. Now, one char...more

As the weather cools down, what I want from my reading is heat, passion and revenge. Lust After Death is an erotic science fiction with sexy zombies, not the grotesque oozing kind. Josie and Bane as reanimated corpses bring life to their new found passion as Bane rediscovers desire as he meets the intimacy needs of Josie. The
delicate relationship and tenderness make it easy to love their chemistry and eager to read the orgasmic lines.

I’m expanding my reading in erotica and this book is a great i...more

Lust After Death is my second zombie book. The first one has a review posted later on this week. Let’s just say that Daisy Harris has successfully shadowed that other book. This book was all kinds of wow. I enjoyed every minute of it…as seems to always be the case when I’m reading a Daisy Harris book. Lust After Death is like taking The Terminator, Weird Science and ZombieLand and merging them all into a sexy, adrenalin filled romp into awesomeness.

The fact that it was a zombie romance kinda of...more

I have not read a whole lot of zombie books, but I wanted to give this one a try and I was not disappointed. Bane, a zombie himself, is on a mission to rescue a newly made zombie-bride from her scientist creator, who only wanted to create himself a bride with no free will. This is Bane's last mission before his memory is wiped and he can move on from dark memories and a dangerous lifestyle. However, Bane finds he is attracted to the new zombie-bride Josie. Bane begins to think that a memory wipe...more

Bane is a liberated killing stein. When he was reanimated and programmed, it was for the purpose of killing for hire. His undead existence was about blood and gore until he was rescued by the zombie underground. Now he repays that debt by working for them to liberate other captive steins. At the time we meet him, he has one more job to do before he gets his “wipe” to erase the horrors of his past. This assignment is to rescue a love-bot; a ste...more

When someone says zombie smut, it's not surprising that the idea might raise a few eyebrows. But I have to say that Lust After Death not only is a fun, smart read, but it's sexy as hell. Ms. Harris is brilliant with her use of Frankenstein imagery (the zombies are called steins and the leader of the underground is Frank LOL!)

I love Josie's innocence and the inherent humor in her as she not only discovers who she is, what her abilities are, but just how downright sexy Bane is. And Bane is a dark...more

So first of all, I don't read many books with girl bits nowadays. They tend to be ripe with overused romance tropes and boring sex. I picked this up because the premise caught my attention and it was free somewhere. I'm glad I stumbled over that free period, because otherwise I wouldn't have tried Daisy Harris, and I'd be missing something wonderful.

The characters here are programmed, so think intelligent sci-fi zombies. Not eat your brains zombies, but more like robots with flesh and an AI that...more

Romancing the Dark Side Review:

There are such things as sexy zombies!

Josie is a fledgling zombie, created by, yes, a mad scientist named Adam, to respond to physical contact and be his new bride. Assassin Bane Connor, also a zombie, is on a mission to rescue Josie from her creator and bring her to Zombie Underworld, a safe haven for steins (zombies) that helps them lead a normal life. This last mission means a new start for Bane who is to undergo a procedure that will reset his memories and era...more

First off, I'm not a zombie person in books...especially when the hero and heroine are zombies. I just have that picture of decomposing bodies, shuffling gaits and moaning--and not in a good way. But Daisy Hill proved me wrong and dlid the impossible for me. I loved both the heroine and hero. The plot was so solid and the world well built. I believed. And I'm so glad I picked this book up!

Very fun story! I'm not much of a "Zombie" girl. They just don't grab me, especially if someone is suggesting sexy Zombies. But Daisy has a great concept here - reanimated people who are programmed to be slaves. They are "non-icky" Zombies. I'm looking forward to the next installment in this world, STUDENSTEIN.

These reanimated corpse zombies are a different type of zombie that do not go for brains and chunks of human flesh. Instead they are sexy-looking zombies in lust-love.

Enjoyable read of mad scientists, love zombie dolls and mind links.

Well that was my first zombie read. And I really did enjoy it. Totally not what I was expecting. It was a a free read from amazon and I'm glad that I decided to download it.

This is definitely a creative story. A body that is dead that become reanimated by an artificial intelligence. What a concept?

The story of our alpha hero rescues the girl who was supposed to be a bride. She needs the guy in order to survive. Hmmm interesting and quite unique.

Overall the story was intriguing and kept me interested until the end.

This was such a fun read for me. I was unsure about this one. I was thinking zombies. Zombies and I do not get along at all. Nope not happening. But its weird cause they died and their brains got rebooted rewired, whatever. lol But it was a really sexy and sweet story and I really need the others to see what happens next.
