More blood and Darker installment

PLOT: I like the story gives you a glimpse on the story so far. So you'll not be lost when reading it. The author made some clear point on the memory sucking that left me questioning the last book.

Mr. Crepsley brought Darren and Evra to the city for some vamp business. But unfortunately, due to Darren's anger management issues and mistrust on Mr. Crepsley, things went rough.

This installment takes the reader on a little deeper on the dark world of the blood drink...more

Sadly, this novel wasn't anywhere near as good as the first two. Darren, Mr. Crepsley, and Evra leave the Cirque after an old friend from Mr. Crepsley's past shows up. The trio arrive in a small town and stay at a hotel where the boys joke around and enjoy the wonder of television while Mr. Crepsley goes out at night and says nothing to no one. His secrets become scary when six murdered bodies are discovered in a warehouse near the outskirts of town. Evra and Darren think Mr. Crepsley has gone o...more

Tunnels of Blood by Darren Shan was a very enjoyable and exciting book to read. This book is about Darren Shan, Evra, and Mr. Crepsley adventures being away from the Cirque. Darren and Evra was able to enjoy their little vacation being away from the Cirque until they heard news about six dead bodies with their blood drained out. They thought that Mr. Crepsley was doing all the killing, and not feeding as a vampire should. A vampire learned to feed from humans by taking a few sips of blood from t...more

This book was really, really good. The third book of the series, Darren ventures on with his life as a half-vampire. After having the first two books appear in the Cirque Du Freak area, the setting changes as Mr. Crepsley takes Darren to the city. Darren meets his love interest for the book, Debbie, but it cannot last. The reason it cannot last is because Darren is a half-vampire, this means he ages every 5 years. Mr. Crespley knows this because he is a vampire, but he is a full vampire so he ag...more

I enjoyed this book very much, because first i like vampires, and second it had like killing in it and it was kinda intense. i would recommend this book to some one who loves to learn about vampires, even though there not real, and who likes sad but happy stories. i really wanted to finish this book because like once you start its like so hard to stop cause it like drags you into it. You feel like you're like right there, cause there's like so much going on that once you stop you just sit there...more

This book is written in first person and is full of macabre scenes. As the protagonist says, this story is real. This is the sequel to The Vampire’s Assistant which is the sequel to A Living Nightmare. This is book number three in the series of Cirque Du Freak. A funny thing is that the protagonist’s name is the same as the author’s — Darren Shan. Darren (the protagonist, not the author) is a half-vampire, but he wasn’t born that way, in book one the author perfectly explains how he was more or...more

Tunnels of blood was a very weird, but an interesting book. Its about vampires. The main character of this book is Darren Shan, he is a half vampire, he hasn’t fully became a total vampire yet. He is the assitant of another vampire named Mr.Crepsly. They both are apart of circus outside of town. My favorite character in this book would have to be Evra, Darrens bestfriend. Evra is a snake boy, he has scales and everything like a snake would have. Him and Darren were good friends from the circus....more

In the third book of the series, a year has gone by since Darren has had his first taste of human blood. He has grown more accepting of who and what he is.

A vampire comes to visit Mr. Crepsley, and soon the vampire, Darren and his friend Evra (a snake boy) take off for a city. It's near Christmas, and Darren feels a twang of nostalgia for family and holiday reverie. He meets a girl, which allows him to enjoy some of what he feels is missing in his life. He also feels his first whisperings of yo...more

This is the 3rd book to the series and it was quite catchy! It is about Mr. Crepsley moving to the city with Darren and Evra (snake boy). By day, Darren and Evra enjoy being around humans again and doing human activities. Darren develops a close friendship with a girl his age named Debbie. Little did he know how much danger he would put Debbie in. After a while he has to choose between his best friend and like a brother to a girl.

My text to self connection is having to choose between 2 people w...more

Cirque Du Freak; Tunnels of Blood by Darren Shan, was a very interesting and full of twists and non-stop suspense. I loved this book, but I was a little disappointed. Since it felt as if the first two books of the series were better than Tunnels of Blood. The second book made me get very interested in who these so called "Little People" really are and who "Mr. Tiny" is. In Tunnels of Blood it feels like there isn't really much of a mysterious character other than "Mr. Crepsley" and the suspense...more

I am really starting to like the characters in the book a lot better than the ones they created for the movie. I had a hard time figuring out how they could say that the first three books in this series were the inspiration for the movie when most everything that happens in book 2 and 3 is totally left out or completely changed. Had I read these books before seeing the movie, I would have been utterly pissed off that they basically just took the characters and a little bit of their backgrounds a...more

Cirque Du Freak: Tunnels of Blood, by Darren Shan, is about the young half-vampire Darren who accompanies Mr. Crepsley and his friend Evra Von (a snake-boy) away from the Cirque Du Freak. They travel to a city Mr. Crepsley (Darren's master) seemed to have a connection with, except he continued to sneak out and be out in the city for long periods of time. Although, when the boys see on TV a report of a murder of humans being killed and drained of their blood, they suspect it was Mr. Crepsley, con...more

I liked this book. The beginning was a little slow but the action at the end really caught me by surprise. And I've read this book before. I knew there was gonna be a trick somewhere but when it came, it still caught me by surprise and I really admired Darren for his ingenuity.

Now, Darren is more mature than the previous book. Its been about 1.5 years after all! I guess he should have grown up a little even though his body wouldn't have matured.

Evra, the snake boy, was also a character I enjoye...more

I first chose this book because I had read the 1st and 2nd series to the book and I really enjoyed them so I thought that I would like this one too. Suspicion rises as Mr.Crepsley’ sneaking around parallels the recent murders occurring in the city. Darren has to choose whether to lose Mr.Crepsley or Evra. My favorite quote in the story is “I refuse to leave Evra with that thing! You know him just as well as I do and you know he wouldn’t have done the same!” I chose this quote because Darren was...more

In book two of the series, The Vampire's Assistant, Darren devolped deeper into the world of vampires. A horrifying accident ends with Darren drinking the blood of his friend Sam, vowing to carry his friends spirit with him.We meet up with Darren again in Book 3 at Cirque Du Freak. Mr. Crepsley, Darren's keeper, a full vampire, has business he must attend to in a city. He takes Darren, and Darren's companion from Cirque Du Freak, Evra, the "snake-boy" with him.By day, Darren and Evra enjoy being...more

I'm going to start finally writing out proper reviews for the books I read now, so here goes :):

What I really liked about this book was the way Darren Shan explored the growth of the main character, Darren, in not only his vampire side but also his 'human' side in a way, He still explores the changes young boys go through as they grow up, especially with girls, which is explored with the introduction of Debbie into the book. Of course, Shan still maintains his "gore factor" to his writing, still...more
