I have to ask, why am I the only person who notices bizarre penis stuff in romance? First it was the penis eating in Love Bites, now it's penis merging. The penises of our twin heroes literally become one humongous shlong when they have sex with their mate. Even aside from the obvious weirdness of penises merging, I can't get my mind around the logistics of it. It sounds incredibly uncomfortable for all concerned. Yet I didn't see one other reviewer mention this.

Gack. Heartstrings... they hurt.

Another awesome book in one of my new favourite series. Mmmhm. I mean, I liked Deep going into it, from the first books... but damn. Yeah. Tortured, prideful guy? I'm allthefuck over that like white on rice. Oh man.

Definitely not enough Sylvan up in there (yep, he's still my special favourite... thus far), but all the Deep drama made up for it.

I read this a while back. But I noticed it wasn't marked as read. Crazy. I enjoyed this book. I thought Kat was funny and strong. I love the yin and yang of the twins, as well as the growth of it all. I love the stretchy fruit. If you read it, yiu'll know what I mean. Very funny book as well. Kat is plus sized and therefore revered on Twin Moons. Every set of twins wants her. It's funny to watch that unfold.

Atone looking for an affordable, fun, sexy series. I always recommend this one! :)

This is the third book in the Kindred series, and it is about Kat O'Connor, and her Twin Kindred, Lock and Deep.

okay, wow! i bought this book after reading hunted (i actually read hunted before reading claimed) but had to be persuaded by my husband to do so. i've never read a meange a trois book before, so i was a bit intimidated, but after getting into it, i enjoyed it so much that i finished it in two days!

In this third installment is stays true to the course. There are men slavish in their love and devotion to a woman resisting 'til the end despite her bodily and emotional needs.

I guess the naughty thrills (nudity! touching! impure thoughts!) are actually all the better because of the will exerted to resist them. Sought is the story of Olivia and Sophia’s best friend Kat, who is independent, humorous an d plus-sized. In Hunted, Kat joined psychically with Twin Kindred (who only mate with one woman between them, as they are seen as a complete person, together, or something like that…) Lock and Deep, in order to find and save Sophia. In this book, she has to deal with the aftermath of having only a partia...more Having read the author’s prior two books of the Kindred series, I felt compelled to read this one too.
Sought is the story of Olivia and Sophia’s best friend Kat, who is independent, humorous an d plus-sized. In Hunted, Kat joined psychically with Twin Kindred (who only mate with one woman between them, as they are seen as a complete person, together, or something like that…) Lock and Deep, in order to find and save Sophia. In this book, she has to deal with the aftermath of having only a partial bond to the warriors, which creates a lot of pain and feelings of attraction to both men, within her. She is frightened by the prospect of completing and initially she wants to end it all together. Lock and Deep both want to bond with Kat, but Deep is as reluctant (actually more so) to do it as Kat is, because the Twin Kindred lost the first woman they claimed, Miranda, to suicide. In the end, the HEA prevails.
First the good:
1. Kat…she didn’t annoy me quite as much as the twins did. She’s spunky and has a decent sense of humor. She has her annoying moments to be sure, but I appreciated her personality much more than Sophia or Olivia’s.
2. The author is clearly building on the story. Her world building seems to be improved or improving. She introduces new characters that I’m assuming will have their own stories later on.
3. The sexy parts of the story are pretty well written, and few in my experience, can match Evangeline’s “dirty talk” abilities.
That said, the bad
1. I found the characterization of Locke and Deep to be extremely lacking. While it’s clear to me that Lock is the “beta” nice-guy so to speak, and Deep is the hard core Alpha male, they never rise beyond their archetypes to become interesting or compelling. They are very cardboard. Lock did not even seem like he really belonged in the story, to be quite frank, and I know that I am not the only reader to say or think so. I found Locke to be quite effeminate and was not attracted to his pathetic groveling. Deep like most alpha males, was written to be obstinate and stubborn, but his passive aggressive bitterness and refusal to see the truth about Kat and his brother really got on my nerves after a while. I felt that he was behaving much more as a scorned woman might,, than as an “alpha male”.
2. Miranda and the suicide- While I found this aspect of the story to add a much needed “dark side” of the Kindred Mating system, the way this part of the story played out really kind of bothered me. It’s basically only glossed over that Miranda killed herself due to her fear of becoming a mate to the Twin Kindred, as well as not wanting to leave her life behind. If this were reality, not only would this be a valid concern but it would probably be the #1 concern for all women “drafted”. However, the author chooses not to actually address this, and sidesteps it with a trite “it’s not your fault she killed herself” type of conclusion. And while I agree that it isn’t actually the fault of the Twins, it probably never would have happened if they weren’t drafting brides in the first place.
3. This story was poorly edited. I found a few glaring errors, like for example, switching out Lock and Deep in scenes where only one of them is present. It always irritates me when I see simple errors like these, though I suppose it’s more the fault of the editor for not catching them, than the author.
All in all, it’s really a lot like her other stories. A “meh” for me.

I love the Kindred Series! It was fantastic and I cannot wait for books 5&6 that Ms. Anderson has promised her readers. This was my "least" favorite of the series. Although I loved Kat's personality I didn't really connect with her character that much. I loved all the world-building that Anderson does and she continues to deepen our understanding of where the Kindred males hail from and that is interesting and fun to read.

You know what I have discovered? These heroines are a crazy bunch, I mean you have GOT to be, if you have two guys wanting to share you both extremely hot, extremely hung and extremely hung up on you, would you run off? No! If that were me I would be sticking to them like glue, you wouldn't be able to pry me off with out an industrial sized prying thingy! I don't think some of these heroines deserve such amazing guys.

She also continued the deep, well-developed world-building of the BotK universe, and that's my favorite part of this series. I'm unsure how well or how poorly Anderson's work measures up to other SF/Fantasy books, but she includes more than enough to satisfy my curiosity and make this universe very real and fun for me.

I found the menage in "Sought" very perplexing for various reasons. It's "non-incestuous twincest," featuring the Twin Kindred (twin brothers who can only enjoy sex and love with a single woman for their mate; no actual sex attraction between the brothers, though) The twins, Lock and Deep, are opposites in every way to the extreme I found their relationship unbelieveable. Deep is the rough-and-ready, dirty-talking, ultra-dominant, pushing-every-envelope Alpha Male. He and Kat boast chemistry and conflict that burns up every page. Lock, the gentle, tender-hearted brother, is far more loveable. Unfortunately, he comes across to me as quite effeminate and his love/attraction to Kat never "rang true" to me. I actually would have found Lock more believeable as a love interest to Kat if he'd been female. He's more "Princess Charming" than prince.

I had problems with Kat's characterization, too. Kat is a prominent secondary character in "Claimed" and in "Hunted." In the previous books, she comes across as pretty ballsy, extroverted, and confident. In "Sought," I felt she lost some of her consistency. Kat is plus-size and plus-size females are viewed as "elite" in terms of beauty standards by the Twin Kindred's home planet. Kat's self-consciousness related to body image became a lengthy, drawn-out conflict in "Sought," even though Deep and Lock have seen Kat naked before ("Hunted") and communicated their admiration and desire. Also ... I just find it tough to buy that a hard-hitting, no-nonsense twentysomething woman would have so much emotional baggage concerning her body. Kat is plus-size, not morbidly obese. I doubt the average size 16/18 woman deals with significant weightism prevalent in many western cultures.

Another, more believeable conflict was Kat's fear of commitment related to her parents' verbally and physically abusive marriage. This became more and more an issue as Deep and Lock's relationship deteriorated. However, it read as contrived to me since Anderson offered no hint of this "problem" in the earlier books.

In the end, this is more Deep and Kat's story. Lock is just grateful Kat will have him. The effort struck me as messy; Anderson's heart didn't seem to be in this book as much as the earlier two. I got the feeling she was more interested in the new couple she introduced for the next book.

I'm still very engaged with this series and I look forward to reading more. "Sought" just didn't "wow" me like the previous books did. (less)

Sought is the eagerly awaited third book in the Brides of Kindred series by Evangeline Anderson and it doesn’t disappoint. For those new to the series, it’s highly recommended that you read both Claimed and Hunted first. You’ll be delighted that you did because these books are wonderful.
I’m not normally a reader of sci fi/fantasy but Ms Anderson is an excellent story teller and the reader can’t help but be intrigued by the worlds that she’s created. I’m not normally a reader of sci fi/fantasy but Ms Anderson is an excellent story teller and the reader can’t help but be intrigued by the worlds that she’s created. Her heroines are smart and sassy, her heroes true alpha males and she utilises both her great sense of humour and her incredible imagination to bring vividness to every aspect of the novel. I don’t intend to give details of the plot here, since I don’t like giving out spoilers. I will say that this book ticks every box. There are seriously hot sex scenes but more importantly true romance. I’m as big a fan of sex scenes as everyone else but romance has to be the key ingredient for me. Not every author can pull that off but Evangeline Anderson can. Underlying all of that is a really good adventure story that manages to be both tense and emotional. Not easy for an author to achieve these either but again Ms Anderson doesn’t let the reader down. I found myself urging the characters on in their adventure, holding my breath as the tension grew. The love scenes are equally enthralling. There is a delicious naughtiness as the heroine is coaxed into exploring beyond her fears. The subtle dominance of one twin evened out by the loving tenderness of the other make for some really hot scenes.
There’s a wonderful whimsicality going on too. The names of the sub characters made me laugh, the misunderstandings caused by the lack of a translator make for some very funny scenes and the whole quirkiness of the various worlds intrigues and delights.
The overarching story of all three books in the series develops further leading the way for a fourth book which I personally can’t wait for. Hurrah for another book in this series!!!! Buy this book, buy the other two books too and get ready to buy the fourth. After that, buy them for your friends. Every fan of romance should have a copy of the Brides of Kindred series.

The writing is phenomenal and like I said before I can't help it, I'm in another world. I'm so wrapped up in the story that even the dumbass heroine's don't stop me from reading. I lost count of how many times in the middle of a paragraph, I rolled my eyes and said, "I hate this bitch". These women are nuts and they just can't seriously be that damn dumb.

Not much to say hear folks. Author stays true to the previous formula of having an annoying heroine. I must say though, the writing was a little better and a tab bit more complex (not much). Also, I like the fact that the twins LOVE LOVE LOVE plus size women and that the whole planet worships plus size women. That's a refreshing change. Kat is a boldly hysterical female who you can't help but love. She does some of the most klutzy and stupid things due to not thinking before she does it, but it leads to some rather hysterical parts of the book.

Deep is one of my all time favorite males in an erotica novel, it will take a lot for him to be taken out of this spot. He shows that men can be just as bad as the most irrational female but in the end his big heart wins through.

Kat, Deep and Lock´s story. In the last book, they formed a temporary bond to find her best friends, but now that bond is slowly killing Kat.
Deep and Lock takes her to their home planet to seek guidance from their healer. I quite liked this book. It's the third in the Brides of the Kindred series and is the story of Kat. She's the BFF of the two h's in the first and second book.

What I like about each of these books is that the author starts the story for the next book whilst also continuing the story of the other characters that came before.

This but kept me up most of the night... I will come back later when I'm a little clear minded and edit this review, but I have to admit I both loved this book and hated it.

I found the alpha male Deep to be my favorite of both the twins, while Lock was sweet, I found him the weaker of the two men, but that's probably got to do with my obsession with Alpha's in romance.

This book was funny, drew tears, was scary and very romantic with great sex too lol...

Has all the things for the making of a great book, With each book in this series get ready for a long read.. EAch book is 350-480 pages at least. and the author has priced them all at .99 cents to 2.99 to encourage readers to buy instead of steal downloads, but I think it kind of her to charge lower prices... We all need a price reduction now a day.

The book story itself had a lot of story to it, and with each preceeding book all characters are included so each new book is just like a continuation with new characters.

The journey of Stabs Deep, Locks Tight and Katrina is great. I laugh at the names of the twin kindred, I think the author really did her self in when she chose names for TWIN KINDRED. There are three types of Kindred warriors, Beast, Blood and Twin,, Beast are brute men with beastial characters... Blood have fangs and when they bite insert the essence of thier body, soul and into the mate which causes a wondeful climax which rolls on and on... now the twin kindred come in pairs lol.. so for those who dream or have a fantasy of two men at once well these are your guys... but their names lol. wow.. I mean Stabs deep,, Locks tight, Ridgid Juicy, are just a few.. they all have meaning of course but the twins are soul brothers they share a soul and cannot touch a mate alone, if they attemp to make love with out the soul/brother which is a twin they have pain.. not pleasure they share a soul, feelings and life without the other is impossible...

Kat has been bonded to DEEP AND LOCK by accident a soul bond not physical or a full bond should I say, it happened when she or they attempted to use Kat as a Focus between the twins acting as finder/seeker to find Sophia when she was kidnapped by the Scourge. They found her but it left Kat sick, dying and bonded to the twins. Deep has a secret he will not share with her.. a past, that has left him broken and afraid to bond with a new woman. Lock is willing and Kat is scared but willing but Deep is broken and harsh with her at all times making any bond impossible.

They must travel to TWIN MOON the twins native planet to seek help from Mother Lir to break the soul so Kat will not die. The journey is a mess from start to end. I will not tell you if they find what they need to sever the bond. They also must travel to ZLITCH the home and now dead planet of the Scourge. BUT.... they end up trapped and dying due to the ALL FATHER OF SCOURGE, Will they live? Die? Love? I know Kats dying wish is to just be held and loved by the twins she says well I will go out with a bang and large COCK.. oh yeah... they are hung.. She has two men both very overwhelming but will die in pleasure...

I cannot tell anymore but this travels, chances and ending are all shocking and make a very good read now I am on to the book number four... there are six in the series. As with all series that do have a end. I regret being on book for since I know near the end... I would advise this as a GOOD READ.. TO ALL and those with kindles.. get if cheap .99 cents or free if your a prime member, for 99.00 a year you can read ALL the books you want FREE.. Good deal. And a good book/series. Start on book one, you cannot jump in the middle of these books at all..

Even the I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Brides of the Kindred series, I avoided this one because I couldn't stomach the two guys/one woman scenerio. In a moment of weakness, I decided to throw caution to the wind and read it. I didn't feel weird about any of the love scenes at all! I really think it's because with sci-fi, the author can change the rules about what is normal or average. I certainly loved the idea of a whole society feeling plus-size women were the epitomy of beauty! Ms. Anderson amazes me....more

Anyway, this book is about a voluptuous girl named Kat, and the Kindred that she is "destined" to bond to. She gets the Twin Kindred. Yep, it's just what it sounds like. Twice the fun! Two boys for every girl! Two rods for the rutting! Her boys are named Lock and Deep, the ladder of which is a total bastard to her throughout most of the book. It makes it hard for a girl to actually WANT to be bonded to someone like that. Thus lies the "will they, won't they" of this book.

PLUS we get to meet Lauren, the girl who actually does fulfill this Scourge prophesy. Sucks for you, Lauren. Good luck with that!

Ms. Anderson is a friggin' amazing writer. I'm really invested in this series, which happens to annoy the crap out of me sometimes. With someone who wasn't as good with the written word, these books would be rubbish. I think there is hope for Lauren, but I really haven't been able to stand the other ladies. Liv (from book one) has grown on me. Her sister Sophie (from book two) can jump off a cliff, and Kat - the BFF - had her moments where I wanted to throttle her, as well. What I can say for Kat, though, is that one of her guys really was being a douchebag to her. I kind of wanted to throttle him, too.

I didn't like this book as much as the first two. I was a little disappointed in the lack of hot Kindred sex. Both Claimed and Hunted really delivered on that. This one kind of fizzled. It seemed like there was more of the "yes I can, no I can't" going on, then an awesome sexual connection. Call me only-interested-in-one-thing, but the seriously smoking sex is one of the things that makes this series great. I don't know... it was lackluster, in my humble opinion. There also seemed to be a few cop-outs towards the end of this one. I won't spoil anything, but you know what I mean. Everything is so horrible that there is no hope for anyone... but then there is.

I don't want to knock this book down to three stars, because it's better than that. But I can't put it up there with the other two (which I rated four stars, I think?) so we will go with three and a half. Sound good?

I DO recommend this series to any sci-fi/pnr fan who likes their smut. They're totally unique, fun reads with HEAs all around.(less)
