I read through this on the original Livejournal page so I'm not sure if it's entirely reflective of the final copy (though from what I understand it is). The style and progression of the "book" is very reflective of the format that was used to publish it online originally. It's done in snippets - which were each individual Livejournal posts - and as a consequence it's not entirely cohesive. 2 1/2 stars rounded up to 3 because that's how rounding works.

There were several enjoyable aspects to the book for me: I enjoyed the flashbacks in most of the chapters that keyed into the current narrative - it felt very "Pulp Fiction" and kept me on my feet. I also liked the fact that our zombie brethren were not "meat lockers" or "shamblers" or "droolers" or some other such overused zombie movie cliche. They were "ReGenerants", of course!

2 1/2 stars is really due to the lack of bloody zombie...more

I was introduced to the music of David Byrne at a young age, which probably answers most of your questions right away. This had a side effect of causing me to develop my own way of doing things, as well as a mind that’s still slightly off kilter. I mostly write to amuse myself, but it is my sincere hope that in doing so I amuse others as well. So far I seem to be doing a good job.
