A little rabbit has a seemingly endless list of things to be afraid of. Even his family aren't sure how to help him overcome his anxieties! One day, everything gets just about as bad as it can and the little rabbit finally has to face his fears. In so doing, of course, he realises that nothing is as big, bad or as terrifying as it first appears.

This book is about a very small rabbit named Pip, the only big thing about Pip is his long list of things that he is scared of. One day Pip falls asleep while his family is working in the fields. When he wakes up his family is gone and it is time for dinner. On his way home Pip hears a growl for around him. He gets scared and runs into the dark forest trying to get away from the growl. He soon finds himself far away from home and surrounded by the many scary things on his list. Frozen in fear (s...more

When a scared little rabbit one day finds himself all alone in a scary place hearing scary sounds, he makes a most shocking discovery. The scariest thing of all is not a gobbler blowing bubbles, not a vast hisster weaving its web, not even a giant wood troll thumping its teeth. The scariest thing of all is not at all what you'd expect.

The Scariest Thing Of All is a fun and exciting children's tale that will enchant it's young readers not only with it's tale of scary critters but also with its cu...more

This story of a very frightened young rabbit is uplifted by the marvelous illustrations. Pip was a very little rabbit and had a huge list of things that he was scared of. The list included rain because it reminded him of the sound a leggy wiggler makes in its web, bubbles in the water reminded him of a gobbler hiding at the bottom of the pond, and tree stumps were like the teeth of a giant wood troll. He exhausted himself because he was so worried and frightened all the time. He was so tired he...more

I think this will be a useful book for patrons looking for a book to help with kid fears and anxieties. My main reason for not giving it more stars is that the main character went from being afraid of an "enormous" list of things to saying "I'm not scared of ANYTHING!" very quickly. It's a cute, fun set-up, but as someone who is a little on the anxious side, I can't imagine all fears disappearing that suddenly.

I enjoyed these illustrations--the rabbits were adorable! There is a lot for a child to look at in a lap-read or read-alone. Some might be missed in a storytime, but the slightly scary suspense and reveal (which I guessed from the first) would be fun to use. The ending seemed a bit jerky to me, but still fun. This could be a fun book to possibly try to help kids overcome fears.

A cute story about a rabbit that is afraid of everything. Ends up having to face his fears and comes to terms, humorous ending. It is a cute story, awesome illustrations, but not the most inventive book. I think a young child would like it because the 'twist' would be new to them.

I really liked the illustrations in this book about an agoraphobic rabbit that overcomes his fears by standing up to them. This would be a good read for younger students, especially those that are fearful. It’s a very encouraging text. Well done.

this cute book could be read to kindergartners or first graders to help inspire them to overcome their fears. the illustrations show how the most ordinary things can be misunderstood and made into something scary.

Not sure that kids who are scared of things will buy Pip's transformation, and I'm not sure that kids who aren't scared of things will find enough tension here for a satisfying story.

Not a particularly original story, but well done nonetheless. And the illustrations of Little Pip are sweet. A classic "face your fears and overcome them" kind of story...

This was ok. Sadly, I found the picture of the bunny really unsettling. I know, I know. It's a really lame thing to pick on but that's the truth of it. Not a bad story though and I like the little twist at the end.

water color and ink - great backgrounds - I'm not crazy about the character designs too simple for the deeply textured scenery

text - fun and playfully arranged on page

With the rabbit character, you could use this book at Easter, or Halloween. :) Funny that the big RARRRR was his stomach!

Pip the rabbit is afraid of everything, until he faces his fears and discovers nothing is as bad as it seems.
Kim
sweet story with charming illustrations about overcoming one's fears

themes: fear, rabbits
Jessica
The story deserves 2 stars but when you have a bunny in the bath, that deserves another star.

"I'm not even scared of ME!"

Excellent thing to realize while you're still small.

Little Pip may be a small rabbit, but the list of things he fears is VERY big.
